If you see in my signature line the Falken Wild Peaks listed spent their first 30K miles on my '05 Couldn't stand the noise from day 1. Moved them over to my '92 this summer and are silent. The Gen 3 is much ore susceptible to road and tire noise than a Gen 2.

Which gen Monty? If people are saying they are a touch loud on body on frame vehicles such as the Sierra or X-terra, on a Gen 3 they will be really loud.

Looks like there is a hinge screwed in-between the tent floor base and the shelf, plus some guide wires or small ropes on the far side or the shelf. Not really sure thou.

That would for sure be tight! I have all 3 Gens. In my opinion the Gen 3 sounds like it would fit you best but not optimal. Remember there isn't a whole lot of room in the 3rd row in any of them. 7 people - Expedition or Full size van 4x4 conversion?

New - minimal difference in cost, but would probably be more options for find a ZJ bumper used.
