    2005 Rubicon LJ

Drove about 100 miles today fo rwork. Jeep rode great. Much firer ride, no sway in the corners... a bit harder in the rough stuff but all in all I am happy with the spring change. Jeep looks better, sits a bit higher and will be ready for 255's or 285's on the next tire purchase. That was...

Jeep TJ RC 2.5" progressive springs

I have a full set of Jeep TJ Rough Country progressive springs ready to ship. I have replaced these on my LJ with Nth degree 3" for a little more room for tires and also for a firmer ride. Really these springs are best for a TJ. I did not take pictures... they are springs... there is no rust...

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

I would still do a double and triple check of the ball joints, hubs, tie rod ends, etc... In my experience, death wobble is rarely caused by tires that do not balance, but those tires exacerbate the issue that is at the heart of the DW. So there may be something there, lurking, more worn than...

    2005 Rubicon LJ

Received and installed new to me nth degree springs tonight. Easy install, gained about an inch, I think although I did not measure before and after. Luckily I had my help Joe with me. Ride is much better, firmer, as I was looking for. Easily have room for 255's which should be my next tire...

    2005 Rubicon LJ

Got a lucky score on a set of slightly used Nth Degree 3"springs. Should be here this coming Wednesday. The RC 2.5 springs I have are good but this was a good chance to (what I hope is an...) upgrade at a price I could swallow. Plan all along was to eventually get to 3 - 4". So this with my...

    Jeep pickup is for reals

This has me holding off to see what develops... may be my first ever bought new vehicle. I can see the application in my life for sure, but as has been said, I hopwe they will offer in a basic version. Well, a basic but burly version, like a Rubicon with all dirvetrain upgrades, but basic...

I am considering adding a roof rack to my soft top LJ and wondered who has run a roof rack? What are/were the pro's and con's? Did it increase noise? Do you/did you make use of it? Impact on mileage? Any other thoughts welcome. Thanks, John

    Running Late build thread

Stumbled on this build. FWIW I think you got this right. A quality wooden trailer build is essentially a wooden boat upside down on a trailer platform. I have built a few plywood boats over the years. Using similar methods and not even as high quality wood as you, I still have a little 13...

I appreciate the replies here. Leaning towards hard panels in a suitcase style. Storage is not a huge issue, just important enough to consider all options.
