New High Altitude Dual Axle Model for ROA?

I talked to HAT last September about a dual axle model. I think I posted it here on one of the threads. They said they would be rolling out a dual axle no sooner than sometime in 2024. Could this be it? I wish they would nail down the details and start delivering the Roamer X and their own...

    Cube Trailer

We've been lacking some entertainment lately and here you go and provide it. Are you out of popcorn yet? As a certified ******** slinging monkey, I'd have to say anything is is 4 season and full time living capable if you're a tough enough son of a **********. That said, it does meet the needs of a...

New Conqueror UEV 14 and heat distribution

We'll have five vents in our Truma ducted heat system. I'll be interested to se how they perform. Since you're a boat guy, have you ever used or heard of a boat engine compartment heater like the Xtreme Heaters. I was looking at them for RV applications in extreme cold weather. They seem safe...

    Our Kingdom Camping Trailer Build

You're probably right about Cruisemaster's lack of cold climate experience. That can probably be claimed for just about all caravan related products from Australia. We don't plan to spend a cold climate winter in the trailer, but we will experience below freezing temperatures. When expecting...

    New Roamer1

We thought they were closed as well, but they are alive and well in the US. We just purchased a big beautiful 6.5 tonne model. Raspy can provide more details about McHitch availability in the US.

Thanks for the video and PSI level hints. We don't know anyone who has actually lived with this suspension, so learning the best practices for using it will take a little trial and error. In our correspondence with Cruisemaster, they say the tank should be drained once a month and no more than...

    New Roamer1

You definitely need a lot of Pink Floyd to make it across the Loneliest Highway. From the angle in the photo above, it looks ball hitch is on about a two inch rise from the truck receiver to where the "ball" is located.

    New Roamer1

The R1 went through a lot of changes from concept to completion. It ended up a bit smaller than originally planned. If you can find an X195 with an outdoor kitchen to your liking, and the size is right for you, that sounds like a pretty good deal.

    New Roamer1

Very nice looking. On the truck side of the McHitch, how any inches of drop do you have on the receiver hitch? It's riding perfectly.

With cash, cry once. With a loan, maybe you don't cry more than once, but you will at least get a lump in your throat once a month. :)

    New Roamer1

Death Valley is a piece of cake compared to the US Interstates and secondary roads between NV and PA/ME/NC. That cross country trip will really give you a chance to test out how rugged the R1 is. ?

Good ideas. It would be interesting to see how much taller those changes would make the trailer overall. I don't know if the combination of higher off the ground and a higher roof would make it a little more top heavy and "tippy". I'm curious to see how top heavy and tippy it will feel when we...

    Our Kingdom Camping Trailer Build

We agree, we hope it's not wet and muddy whenever we get under any trailer to work on it! In eleven years, we've never been forced to work underneath a trailer in the mud, and we'll try to keep the streak going. We don't tow into places that are seriously muddy. That's not our idea of fun. When...

    Tribe EX500

It looks like RKS is done. If there are some RKS Purpose units still available on dealer lots, I bet they could be had for a bargain price. When a manufacturer goes out of business, if the product was well built like the RKS is, it's still easy to service the unit yourself or find RV techs...

    Our Kingdom Camping Trailer Build

We have a 2012 F350 that we've put a lot of mods into. It's the 6.7L diesel and "only" has 160,000 miles on it. We really like that truck and are hoping it gives us many more years. It doesn't have the tow and payload capacities of the new one ton trucks, but it should easily dominate a 9,920lb...

    Our Kingdom Camping Trailer Build

That's right. No one can, should be allowed to, or should ever consider living and traveling full time in a trailer. All trailer activities should be limited to weekend off road excursions curated for You Tube and with everything on the trailer empty.:)

    Nothing too fancy, budget friendly?

Have you looked at these guys? They also have a You Tube channel. Colorado Trailers I don't see that they install Timbren axles, but they may if you ask them.

The aluminum welded frame is starting to rise from the chassis. It's hard to see in the photo below, but here is a mock up test lamination of the walls. We're using Crane Composites Noble Select exterior FRP panels (their thickest, premium option) that are fused onto a composite substrate...

    Our Kingdom Camping Trailer Build

They are pretty new. The owner, Jamin Lambright, started working in the RV industry through a program in high school. I think he officially started Kingdom Camping in 2019 and came out with his first units in 2020. This is the first dual axle he's building. He's been around the business long...
