Detroit Locker: Looking for Real World Experience

Only negative is getting used to the Detroit in snow/ice. some people hate it. I always found it very predictable.

5th gen 4Runner floor mats and seat cover suggestions.

I have one set of husky right now and 4 sets of WT. Both are great Re: seat covers. We have the faux-leather in our SR5 and it looks new almost 7 years later. Granted, only 55k miles, but they hold up well.

Hybrid or Gas for full-time camper? MPG guesses?

I call complete and utter BS on 12mpg with 35's and heavy camper... as much as I laugh at someone thinking something at or over payload with more drag will only drop 30%

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

Received a marketing email from Toyota… talk about the 2022 4runner. 2022 Tacoma. 2022 hilander. And 2021 tundra. I’m not sure how hard to laugh.

Hybrid or Gas for full-time camper? MPG guesses?

well... considering toyota barely just released the hybrid, it's not exactly fair to think that there's a ton of experience out there of a hybrid in a "fully loaded" situation. And again, you'll be WAY over payload. Re: toyota reliabilty... no one can comment on the reliability of the 2022 yet...

Hybrid or Gas for full-time camper? MPG guesses?

well… shoot. Ignore GvWR then, because someone on the interwebs said it’s just a CYA number. or… figure out what you want to carry, and buy a truck that can carry it….

Hybrid or Gas for full-time camper? MPG guesses?

Two thoughts... I'd shy away from first-model year on this one... you're talking about dropping major coin on a vehicle that... some say... is plagued with bugs You'll be way over payload.

Who's lining up to buy a 2023 Sequoia and NOT a 2022 Tundra?

99-02 4Runners. Was an option on SR5’s as well. My 02 SR5 has it and I do like it. I don’t recall seeing one in a 5th gen. I thought they were either part time or full time in the limited? also been available on a number of GM trucks for many years.

Building 1997 Toyota T100 4x4 into my adventure rig

what size tires are you going after? May want to consider 5.29's if you're going to add weight and go with 33 or larger tire.

Who's lining up to buy a 2023 Sequoia and NOT a 2022 Tundra?

how is a vehicle that doesn’t even have locations for recovery points “inarguably “ better for remote touring? You probably are not wrong, but I take issue with the quoted word.

Who's lining up to buy a 2023 Sequoia and NOT a 2022 Tundra?

to be fair, how many of them are LC200/300 enthusiasts whom would pay $90-120K for a new LC?

Who's lining up to buy a 2023 Sequoia and NOT a 2022 Tundra?

Great questions. There's a fanboy component to the name that tends to ignore the underlying details like shared components. I do think the Sequoia going back to solid axle is very interesting... and honestly, it's what generated my quetsion.

Looks like it's *is* the LC300... with a different styling and badge. Am I wrong?

2004 Tacoma vs. 1997 Land Cruiser: Long Term Ownership

Here's the problem.... Your ad says southern truck with minimal (under carriage rust)... but you now state the tailgate is rusty. The interior pictures show missing panels and "garbage". That implies a lack of care. I get that everyone wants to take advantage of the monetary devaluation...
