    4cyl or 6cyl

X2! :smiley_drive: My father has the 2.7 in a 2000 single cab Prerunner with an auto. It's slow, but it doesn't feel underpowered for a truck...but no one will mistake it for a muscle car. Just don't try to tow too much with it. Their slogan should be similar to Rolls Royce's old saying about...

    Lock in Hub 4wd Question

Chances are they just need a rebuild/regrease and new seals. I put these on my T100, and followed these write-ups: http://forum.ih8mud.com/79-95-toyota-truck-tech/149776-rebuilding-aisin-locking-hub-locking-hub-rebuild.html http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/maintenance/front_end/hub_rebuild/ and the...

Haha! Nice...this cracked me up. :coffeedrink:

    Help me decide

$15K will buy a LOT of gas for the Tundra (like 5000 gallons). So even if you put 20 gallons a week in the Tundra, that's close to five years worth of gas. If you're worried about the money for gas, I would look into the trailer idea. Otherwise you won't see a savings on the gas for well after...

KYB Gas Adjust to repalce OEM shocks?

I have the Gas-A-Justs on my T100. I did the install myself (but I don't have coils to deal with), and the shocks I picked up from Amazon for about $140 for all four. $690 seems pretty high. If nothing else, save a little cash and have them do just the fronts (coils), and the rears are extremely...

    4runner saftey

That'll buff out, right? :Wow1: Glad he's ok on all accounts.

    Go4Lo's '02 Tundra build

I went the modular and cheap-o route with a coleman magnetic tent lamp, drilled and mounted in the wood block portion of my cap's roof. The lamp is magnetically held to the base so it can be used under the hood or anywhere else. Removeable and easily (and cheaply, $10) replaced...And (my...

    T100 "Bluebonnet"

Bump for updates...anything new? I have had my T100 for about a year and I like the rear storage build. Beautiful truck btw.

2005 Tacoma 4.0L Hesitation and No Throttle Response

If the codes are telling the dealer the TPS (or whatever it's called) is bad, why not just replace that and not the ECM? Just because they "cleaned" them doesn't mean that sensor isn't shot. At the most I would think replacing the throttle pedal assembly would be a better way to go first (if...

Tundra regular cab short bed (RCSB)

Yeah if only! At least Toyota is making them with the current gen. Maybe I'll pick one up when the T100 dies in 15 years! :)

Tundra regular cab short bed (RCSB)

Man I wish they made that. Would have been high on my list of used trucks when i was looking to buy. I briefly considered a 1-gen RCLB, but couldn't bring myself to drive one!

    New 1986 4Runner

I like the optional, fully-automated canine alarm and theft deterrent system mounted in the rear seat! :sombrero: Nice truck!

Tundra regular cab short bed (RCSB)

Yup. Looks about as spacious as my extra cab T100! :Wow1:

    2010 Regular Cab

Yours is definitely my favorite Tacoma I think I have seen anywhere. Well done. Capable without being unwieldy. Very nice. :smiley_drive:

Tundra regular cab short bed (RCSB)

Any chance you have any pics of the interior laying around? I am definitely curious as to the amount of room behind the front seats (I have seen a few grainy/far back pics, but no good ones). And I hate you. :D j/k You have my dream truck

It looks like the photos were taken through my Costa sungalsses:)

Need another truck. Which to get?

Well, I am (obviously) biased, but maybe you could also try to find a decent T-100. You are looking at about the same vintage for the Tacomas (sort of) and pickups (most T100s newer), and you can get a 4x4 3.4L 5-speed extra cab (which is what I have). It's no speed demon, but not a slug either...
