    FOUND Vans For Sale!

Very good news to AWD Van owners, and people on the fence. I spent some time on a freight hauler website before pulling the trigger on a GM van, big mileage numbers are common on the GM vans and repairs are few. They don't use the AWD 1500 for heavy pallets (it has a 2000lb capacity) but do use...

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

This pic is a great example of a typical National Forest obstacle encountered on the way back into some beautiful camping and solitude. I took a Jeep camping through many states and found out it was overkill for a good part of my back country journey, your AWD Van is just about the perfect...

    Sprinter Pods/Flares for Ford?

It's worth some effort to make sleeping sideways possible, it has worked really well for us. Little things like rolling out of bed on your own side, putting your shoes on and going out your own door. Our bed is close to window height giving the most width (no thick insulation) and is plenty wide...

    2017 GM vans

Yea the people who have the new Transits are not real happy at work, they are bummed they did not get one of the 2015 GMC vans that came in last year. GM offers a nice single bench option for a cargo van in the last few years, very popular with users. I looked under a new Transit at the chassis...

    2017 GM vans

Looks like a new diesel engine option for the big vans..http://gmauthority.com/blog/2016/03/2017-gmc-savana-and-chevy-express-gain-2-8-liter-duramax-diesel-option/ I am just glad it shows GM is doubling down on the big vans with an investment in the chassis, to bad they don't add some high roof...

My quest to get a van. Looking for advice and wisdom.

When mini-vans came out I remember people being all exited about the efficient use of space, all the fullsize van owners must have been just grinning. If you can make a big van have some cool factor the wife will agree to drive it, then realize she loves it.

    roof rack / observation platform?

I use a three crossbar aluminum on my GMC Van...http://www.weatherguard.com/en/view/Products/Van%20Storage%20Equipment/Roof%20Racks/All%20Purpose/229-3.......... I have bolted a 4x8 sheet of 3/4" marine plywood to it and used it just like you want with no issues but the weight was not moving...

My quest to get a van. Looking for advice and wisdom.

My wife does enjoy looking down into trucks even when some are lifted and on 35's, something she has brought up on many occasions with a grin..............

    Quigley 4x4 Chevy Express build

Some 265-75-16's are so close to the 235-85-16's in diameter it is within the carcass tolerance for each size, as told to me by a factory tire engineer. So if a 265-75-16 will fit a van on stock wheels you are good, I don't care for the street handling of a 235-85-16. I had to run them really...

My quest to get a van. Looking for advice and wisdom.

When the "Approval Mgr" went with me for the first test drive, a passenger van was selected by myself to help ensure project success.......I got lucky "not white" was the only demand... A cargo van project was still in the running at the time but I looked hard for a passenger van to drive due...

Marooned in Paradise - Another Express AWD

Great find for sure, you won't see many like it........:bike_rider: I like your drivers side slide out idea some B+ vans use one out the back, good place to look for ideas. I would put the mechanicals all there so you never have to climb in to service anything even a porta potty or cassette...

    Dealing with Floor Rails

If you are going to build a full RV with sub floor and lots of permanent cabinets etc..., sure get them out and have a normal build. I was going to cut them after the front bench and make my bed storage like most people do. I knew I wanted to bolt it down rather than screw the floor to death...

GM fullsize AWD Van Info thread

You are right E-26 was the RPO for drivers doors and it ended in 2014 but was not available in regular pass vans after the side curtain airbag rule change after 2007 I think. The conversion companies bought incomplete vehicles and re-titled them so the airbag rule was not enforced on their...

    Quigley 4x4 Chevy Express build

Great find for sure, I can't wait to see what you do with it. Given the chance to pick a Van again a GM 3500 Quigley would be my choice, hats off........... I hope these vans don't have the soy based wiring insulation that the MFG's are learning smells like food to rodents. Some car companies...

Uli. Yet another AWD Chevy Build…

Jeep to AWD Van, seems like it's catching on here. I like the name but have to admit "The Dude" gets quoted around our place so we are biased, and we are still arguing about a name 3 years later so......... I have to laugh at peoples reaction when I mentioned a buying Van, they almost all said...

    2014 Chevy 1500 AWD - Family Road-Camp-Havoc-Mobile

Glad to see another AWD van on here, don't see many cool blue vans. Thanks for posting the rear sway bar info, can't wait to hear how it well works. I think the factory felt it was not needed due to the bumpstops touching so much as part of their design, and acting like a sway bar. When we...
