Walk on hood for an F-350?

After much thought, we have already mounted the 2-35" spares up on the roof.

Walk on hood for an F-350?

I been thinking about this mod for a while. Searched this forum and tried to google, not much pertinent info. Saw it on a Benz G-Wagon once upon a time down in Saline Valley. Has anyone seen this done on a Ford truck? Thinking how to do it without adding too much weight.

    '93 Ford F-350 4x4 w/FWC Grandby and utility bed

Fitted the camper on to the utility bed. Seems to fit pretty good. Get some gaps filled, bolt it down, get some paint, Think it will be getting much closer.

Moving along now. Mounted the utility bed. Began cutting and modifying it to accept the '88 Keystone. Can't figure how to upload photos from cell phone. Will be ready to test fit camper to util bed next week.

    '93 F-350 4x4 w/ 35" tires?

So, I'm finally back working on this thing. It has changed quite a bit. But still the same issue with the tires. I assume with Ford's stated spec of 0 offset equals 3.5 -4 " back spacing on 7-8" wheels. I cannot seem to find wheels with LESS backspace. Went to 4 wheel parts in Redondo...

    '93 F-350 4x4, 4 door, West Los Angeles

Thanks Mike. During the "gathering of various parts and materials for the project" process, I purchased a 4'x10' roll of horse stall mat for that reason. After much research, mostly on this forum, I've decided on a 4 point bolting system. 2 rear bolts over the back axle, those being...

    '93 F-350 4x4, 4 door, West Los Angeles

Hello again to all. After a few starts and stops, back at this project. Unexpectedly ran completely out of disposable income to move this along. Gave me some time to think it out. Hopefully ready to get it to a reasonable state of completion. Procured a utility bed truck, planning to put...

    '93 F-350 4x4 w/ 35" tires?

I out now to find a set of 16" wheels with better backspacing. I like the price and look of plain old steel wheels, but we'll see. Thanks guys. This forum is a great resource because of the great people on here.

    '93 F-350 4x4 w/ 35" tires?

Now I see. Seems my mistake was throwing a larger tire on the stock rim without consideration of the wheel backspacing. Hoping not to replace the rims. (I like the steel rims.) I recall seeing wheel balancers on Pappawheely's rig. Will these add any significant offset? Besides price, what...

    '93 F-350 4x4 w/ 35" tires?

I gotta be honest with you guys I'm not that good on mechanicals. Please define "less backspacing". I'm using the stock steel wheel. How do I get less back spacing?

    '93 F-350 4x4 w/ 35" tires?

We're building a '93 F-350, 4-door, 4WD camper. (It's going pretty slow, no dough.) I had heard on this forum that tires up to 37" should be ok on this model, maybe need to modify the front bumper. We put 35" Cooper Discoverer's on the stock 16" steel rims. We moved the front bumper forward...

Hadley and Tardis STOLEN, PLEASE HELP LOOK

There is also vehicle thievery by flatbed truck. You should have a pretty foolproof tracking device and/or devices in there also. Hell, have everything you can.

Hadley and Tardis STOLEN, PLEASE HELP LOOK

We are building what I will consider to be an IRREPLACEABLE rig. Insurance money would be a little solace, but could never replace the blood, sweat, tears, love, attention , attachment we have for this thing. We are looking at multiple satellite trackers, some imbedded in the frame, battery...

    The Bowman Odyssey Rig

Ok, I was already in. But with a 1 year old kid and a truck w/290K? I, along with yourself and your wife, question your sanity. With great admiration.
