'93 F-350. Powdered vacuum lines under the hood.

What I thought would be a not so slow build is crawling along very slowly. But, got some 35" Cooper Discoverer AT3's on there this week. Had to immediately remove the stock bumper, as had been suggested herein. But, another question about mechanicals, which is my one of my many weak spots. I...

F-350 2 full size spares on the cabin roof

Hey Demi, Thanks for the feedback. After much thought and a few test fits, We went ahead and put them on a roof rack. We designed the rack to hold the 2-35" full size spares. Haven't got the rack all settled yet. We're likely heading to an exo-skeleton of some type with a ladder of some...

    FWC galley ideas?

I have seen some regulars in Saline Valley using a hand crank blender to make Margaritas. The thing clamped to a table like an old style vise. Requires some elbow grease, bit quite functional.

    FWC Shower?

"Hey it's camping" ?? Not me. I want to put a shower inside. Going looking for a retro-fit build thread.....

What are your opinions of this setup?

I hear people are on long waiting lists for FWCs. This is a buy and go option. Seems to be well equipped. Guy (or Gal) mighta put it together and just found doesn't like to camp. (We've all known one or more of those.) The original person who built it might have passed, we know ya get old...

    FWC Shower?

Sounds like you are buying a new FWC and considering options? That I know nothing about, but.... I have a used '88 FWC Keystone (one of the bigger ones). I want to put a shower in it, for sure. Many of the places I want to go have no showers, but still there are enough people around that an...

    50 degree ambient drop?

Cool! I'm getting ready to pony up some serious $$$ to put it together. Had read that even Engel doesn't guarantee more than 50 degrees. I believe I'm leaning towards the ARB, seems the controls are more flexible.

    50 degree ambient drop?

We're setting up an old FWC with batteries, solar, Engel or ARB, etc. We mostly run to Death Valley, Saline Valley. Will these setups keep food and drinks COLD when it's 115 degrees in the day and 85 degrees at night? Hence the thread title question. Is a 50 degree ambient drop all I should...

A problem and an attempted solutiion: 12v fridge and solar charger...

I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who has given info here and on this entire forum. I'm just beginning to build an expedition vehicle. I have little prior knowledge of any of it. Especially solar/battery/12v/etc. I actually think I might be able design/build/maintain my own RV...

    One Spare Tire or Two?

Came across this old thread and had to comment. Is there anyone who seriously thinks one spare is enough? My most regular run is Saline Valley. NO WAY I'm going down there without 2 spares mounted on rims.

2013 Phoenix Pulse CS POPUP for Toyota Tacoma EVERY OPTION PRICED TO SELL

Skibo, do some research before pulling the trigger on this type of purchase. This forum is a good place to look around. I surely don't have any desire to enter someone else's flame war zone, so suffice to say I have no problem with the color red, per se. Enjoy your new truck!

Landing picture of platform for high campers

We're building a camping rig with an '88 Keystone, mounted onto the frame with a chassis mount on a '93 4x4 F-350. The camper floor is pretty high up there. We're building a custom rear bumper with a 27"x27" fold down entry platform, like a porch or stoop. (Warn Zeon 12000# mounted within.)...
