    BoldAdventures 2015 Power Wagon Build

Beyond adequate. I had the 5.7l Hemi previously. It always felt like it was working over time to keep up. The PW's 6.4L just does the work. It might not have the power of a diesel in terms of torque. But it never feels like it's struggling, like the smaller engine did. It's more than enough...

    BoldAdventures 2015 Power Wagon Build

I bought it with 31k and I have 55k on it, if that tells you something about how much I drive it. No issues. Zero mechanical problems, and zero issues with death wobble. That seems to be something related to the older trucks prior to the supension changes in 2014.

Today's mod, set the proper tire size to recalibrate my speedo and set the TPMS to 35psi. :wings:

yea I think his stuff from his IG feed is all build to order. He has a base design and then tweaks based on client needs/wants. But just an assumption.

Black Bear Pass in a Ram 3500 CC SRW w/ 37's, is it Possible?

Great advice. But, isn't it funny how we enjoy the trails where we have moments of regret about being on the trail or worry that I MIGHT DIE or roll my rig, that make it exciting. :D Then when you tackle it, YEAH!!! :wings:

    BoldAdventures 2015 Power Wagon Build

I'm not a fan of aluminum since it's gouge prone. But I'm a fan of the weight savings. But I'd say no, since he's just starting out. I totally forgot to ask about weight when I was inquiring. I'll have to shoot him an email. Have you taken a look at https://www.ocfwelding.com/bumpers - his 3rd...

Black Bear Pass in a Ram 3500 CC SRW w/ 37's, is it Possible?

I don't think novices or people who lack experince should be going down it. And they certainly shouldn't be going down it alone. I know that a lot of people go down at a time. But you shouldn't be relying on strangers. I wouldn't go without a group of people. And I wouldn't go with someone who...

Black Bear Pass in a Ram 3500 CC SRW w/ 37's, is it Possible?

You can do it. A Power Wagon doing it: Friend's F250 went down it. And here's an older Ram 2500 diesel doing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evehx-9KC1c There are a few areas where if you screw up, well you can't screw up. And don't freak or panic. It's always some novice that freaks...

    BoldAdventures 2015 Power Wagon Build

I've been hunting for a steel front bumper for awhile. Something that matches the lines of the truck, and is a high clearance bumper. I love the looks of the AEV bumper, but it does nothing to improve the limitations of the factory bumper. The second problem in finding a bumper, is most of the...

    BoldAdventures 2015 Power Wagon Build

I forgot I have this. But this is the weight of this truck with two adults + 2 kids in car seats, some recovery gear and a full tank of gas. So when someone says the PW needs a diesel, I scoff. This truck is heavy enough.

    BoldAdventures 2015 Power Wagon Build

Thanks, everyone helps each other out. We have a few guys last year who helped spot who are really good and have been there every year. These trucks are super capable. I don't plan on doing much more myself. I think I will be extending the breathers for the front and rear axle once the snow...

    BoldAdventures 2015 Power Wagon Build

Yea, my speedo isn't recalibrated, so my numbers could be off. My driving isn't normal either. I'm usually going long distances. I don't do a lot of short daily driving like most people. And my truck is almost always me + family + gear.

2014 Cummins CCLB do it all - build thread

I really enjoy the looks of the AEV Bumper. It's one of the best looking aftermarket bumpers out there. But something to consider, it doesn't improve approach over the factory one bit.

Proposed 1k fine for vehicles over 20 years old in Oregon

New Jersey and Oregon don't trust people to not blow themselves up while pumping gas, and the states would rather leave the job to professionals. Long ago, all gas stations were full-service. The first self-service station opened in California in 1947, and the idea caught on across the country...
