2007 Fuso Expedition Vehicle - Hackney Fuso

Really? After your truck thread, I assumed there was another camper build coming up. Kinda bummed about that. Since you're local, I was hoping to come by occasionally and drool over some increadibly exotic and capable truck. Or even offer to help if the project extended into the spring and...

In search of the perfect can opener.

I've had a couple of the older-style Black and Decker cordless can openers (a 220v when I was in Germany and a 110v here). Like Mudbutt's, it's pretty cool to clamp it on and watch it go round. Holds a charge for a couple weeks, so works pretty well for camping.

    stupid idea?

I think it's a great idea. Hopefully LukeH will chime in here. IIRC he's cutting up a refer box to build a custom camper box out of.

Even if I owned a brand spanking new Hino, I'd have to retrofit the old winged badge!

    Tatra T815 my saga ...,

Welcome and thanks for sharing. I will be following this one... You seem to be just the guy to answer a question I have had for years. These Tatra 6x6s have a very unusual configuration, with two axles forward and one back. That doesn't seem logical to me for any hauling scenario. Even the...

    Stealth Camper Build

If you guy's haven't already, you might check out http://cheaprvliving.com/StealthCargoTrailer.html. For instance, I like the way he cut up a ladder and used the rails to disguise his solar panels.

An easy way to temporarily step up idle speed for increased rate of charging.

Your Limited has electric seats, right? Just cut a stick long that reaches from the front of the seat to the pedal. Move the seat forward to increase rpm, back to decrease... Seriously, I knew a guy that owned an old Caddy, and used such a stick for cruise control. Not recommended.

(mostly) Low-cost 4x4 diesel high capacity chassis examples

Hey Mods, what do I have to do to change my login name?? For Pete's sake, Doug, just buy one already. Aren't you one of those 'stop planning and go' types? You've been home too long now... Really, man, I do appreciate you sacrificing your productivity to uncover previously-unknown sources.

    '95 S&S LMTV 2.5 ton Cab-over 4x4 on GL.

I mentioned this on Mr. Hackney's (mostly) thread, but thought I'd duplicate it here. I mean, I'd hate for this truck to go un-noticed. I'd have to buy it for the opening bid of $150, and I have no idea how I would get it home or where I would put it... :) surplus S&S LMTV on Government...

Has anyone mentioned this surplus S&S LMTV on Government Liquidation? location = Hammond, LA Anyone interested should probably do their research on these. I know this forum has seen some discussion on the maintenance costs. Also consider the posts of Joaquin Suave, who has taken on a LMTV...

Luke, you left Stewart and Stevensens off of your list... It's mentioned in THIS THREAD and, I think, a couple others... They (Creative Mobile Interiors) have had it for sale for quite a while. Maybe discounted deeply by now?

Austin area Land Rover SeriesSomething 110ish

Sorry, don't have any details, but I thought someone here might want to check into a LR I spotted sitting in the back of a lot south of Austin, TX along I35. You may be able to pick out the white LR in the back of the pic. Hopefully you could get some info from the phone number (should be 512...
