    Wheel backspacing?

Some measure backspacing from the outer edge (wheel weight) of the wheel, others measure it from the inside edge (tire sidewall) of the wheel. Steel and aluminum wheels sometimes have different thickness at the wheel edge. I think that's where 2 different people will measure backspacing different.

    Wheel backspacing?

You don't need 3" lift for 32" tires. I've had 32/11.50-15's for a long time with lift as below. 1/2" torsion bar crank up front and add a leaf or new springs in the back will let you run 235's. This way you won't need a steering fix, upper A arms or anything else. Idler arm brace would be...

    235/85 R16 tires on 01 Xterra

I'll be going with 235's for my 2000 Frontier. As soon as I take the winter tires off the wife's X with the 16" rims :yikes:

    GCEC is out of business

Just got a reply from Hannibal in SA. Looks like we'll work something out :jump:

    GCEC is out of business

Looks like Great Canadian Expedition Company (GCEC), the place where I bought my Hannibal tent, is out of business. Web site is gone and I can't get a phone call or E-mail returned. Tried Hannibal in Africa and they don't seem to want to respond either. As I need some replacement poles, this...

    H3T at Moab

Tie rods are fairly easy to change on the trail. As far as i'm concerned, it's a component that I would gladly sacrifice instead of breaking something else in the steering system. Xterra's and Frontiers (00 to 04) are known for bending and breaking them. I carry spares. For me, it's like a...

    Snorkel = Snake Oil ?

I've seen an 85 Toy seize the engine in 18" of water. Went in too fast, water splashed into the intake and then the engine would only rotate 300° instead if the usual 360°. Bent rod. :snorkel: Yes, I have a snorkel. Not that I like going deep enough to really use it. It's for "Just in case".

    Looking for a 12 gauge semi-auto

This looks almost ideal Self-cleaning, pressure-compensating gas system • Handles all 12 ga., 2.75" & 3" shells interchangeably • Straight grip English-style stock • Engraved receiver (5 line) • Semi-gloss American walnut stock with checkering and rubber recoil pad • Light contour 23" vent...

    Looking for a 12 gauge semi-auto

I want the short barrel for camping. It's a lot easier to fit in the RTT :littlefriend: A little upland game is the reason to want a choke and a shorter barrel is easier to swing in the woods.

    Looking for a 12 gauge semi-auto

Always wanted one and would like to get a 12 gauge semi auto shotgun. Something with 18 to 22" inch barrel, preferably with a choke and a vented rib. Synthetic stock and forearm would be nice too. Should be able to handle at least 2 3/4 and 3" shells. Ideally it would cycle light loads as...

    Rotational Weight

Since I'm looking to get some 235/85-16''s for my Frontier, can you post the weights of the tires that you have found? Not many sites have the weight available.

    95 Pathfinder.....what to do

I disagree. If the front suspension is not cranked up for large tires, like 33's or larger, it will work for a long time. 32" tires will fit with a minor 1" crank on the torsion bars. While it does not look as "cool" as the front end cranked 3" and Ford coils in the back for rear lift, it...

    95 Pathfinder.....what to do

Timing belt and tires are required for vehicle with that mileage. How do you know it's the lifters? All 3 liter nissans make ticking noise on startup for a minute or so. Use stock oil filter and not aftermarket stuff. They've also always had a problem with a cracked right side (or both sides)...

    My favorite hot sauce

Well, here it is. It's not too spicy, no vinegar in it and no aftereffects "Sriracha is made from sun ripen chilies which are ground into a smooth paste along with garlic and packaged in a convenient squeeze bottle. It is excellent in soups, sauces, pastas, pizzas, hot dogs, hamburgers...
