    M1101 Trailer Project

Yep, the support legs are adjustable. I really like how I can lower the hitch end, extend the support legs, and then re-raise the front end and the tires come completely off the ground. Allowing tire changes and hub work while the trailer supports itself.

    The Camp 4x4 Bus - 1973 Suburban 8.1 Swap & Build

That plus a clocking ring would work nicely.

"Adventure Mobile" goes back in time.. 1996 Suburban to 1984 Suburban..

LS type motors are nice, but I still prefer the grunt of a regular 350 small block. The 6.0 doesn't make enough extra power to justify the price increase over a 5.3 motor.

    M1102 expedition trailer build

I removed the covers from the black-out lights, installed a regular white bulb, and wired the black-out light circuit into the reverse connection of the hitch harness.

83 Suburban build - Big truck for a big family!

While you cave the transfer case out, may as well change the input and both output shaft seals. Much easier while you have it apart let me tell you! ( As my front output drips on the driveway AFTER replacing the input seal )

    M1101 Trailer Project

I dislike pintle for anything other than a dedicated off road trailer. Ball hitch will cover most people for 100% of their uses. The best articulation ball hitch is the cast Bulldog style. My personal favorite would be to go with a channel mount hitch. Allows you to connect anything pintle...

    M1101 Trailer Project

Not too different to how I did mine. Behind my burb, both running 32" tires. Though I've recently changed rims and tires for both, I still went to the same overall heights. Just have 265/70R17 tires on both now.

M1101 Project - Problem with 3/8" hoop mount nut fittings coming loose

Well, hurry up. :-) Pics don't post themselves! I need more inspiration!!! Did get my hubs changes to six lug yeasterday, and mounted up the old tires and rims from my suburban. Old 6 lug rims on my burb, with the craptastic 8 lug Dodge rims.................. So the old 6 lugs from the...

M1101 Project - Problem with 3/8" hoop mount nut fittings coming loose

It's actually pretty easy to "reset" the threaded insert. Take a look at this video...................

    1988 Suburban Project

I just looked closely at your pics, when I got mine it had the same stuff installed. Bug guard, grill guard, side steps everything! Even the basic specs are the same as mine. I almost wonder how far off our vin numbers are? Mine ends in 175369 I got mine with 90,000 miles for $1500 with...

    1988 Suburban Project

BDS is good, I went the "roll your own" route. a 2.5 lift and 32 inch tires (265/70r17). 1988 Suburban 1/2 ton, similar to the one your looking at. I used 2.5 inch Superlift front springs, a 2.5 rear flip kit, some Monroe shocks, and some sway bar links. Rides nice and performs great. You can...

Question for those of you with military style trailers

Little bit of aluminum sheet and you can make a pretty secure box to house it. Basically just extend the shape of the wheel forward and either hinge it or make the whole thing removable with bolts.

Canoe and kayak/ gear trailer build

No, I like it. Add some expanded metal to that fuel can area. You can store paddles and other stuff there, including fuel and water cans as necessary.

My storage solution build for my K5 Blazer

You know, with those kids/family. It won't be too long and you'll be looking at a suburban like mine. The extra two doors and rear storage space is amazing compared to the K5. I think expo would be more loving of the trailer with more pics of the camp set-up and deployed. Your vids are...

My storage solution build for my K5 Blazer

Mom, Merrick is stalking me!!!! :victory: Glad you have you here also, it's definitely leaning more toward the an expo build than just a hard core K5. Any more progress on that trailer? They'll love it here also.

2003 Silverado Z71 solid axle build

A set of 2.5 plus a good set of springs will be plenty. Here is where I get my springs from http://www.eshocks.com/ Pretty much any size and rate you can think of including progressive, all at decent prices.

    M1101 trailer Build

Here's mine currently running 265/70r16, which are slightly smaller than the 265/70r17 I have on the suburban it's connected to. Eventually the trailer will inherit the 17's and six lug hubs, as I have new wheels for the suburban waiting for tire money.

That's not too far from how my 3 gun rig looks.

    Free-Floating Smith & Wesson M&P15 5.56

With a good shooter, free floated barrel, good ammo, and a quality optic (magnified), you can reliably hit 600 no problem. I have a 11.5 barreled AR that's good to 500+ when I do my job. A major limit is the optic. Between bullet drop and reticle/target size much past 300 is really a pipe dream...
