Dan
How is the CoG ?? I was going to build mine with a shell, but it just seemed to be too top heavy...
Sorry to hear about the drivetrain issues... JEEPs you either LOVE'm... or their peg'n your frustration meter...
Curt
That's pretty cool... I can't say I've ever been a BIG Baja follower, I do tip my hat to the ones that are set up nice. The picts. posted kinda make me laugh a bit though... while I'm sure they pull trailers I've got to admit I don't ever recall seeing any... and I live in the Desert S.W. ...
So how are you liking the springs... little long ?? I found the MJ spring length to be a bit too limber. I moved the spring hangers & swapped in XJ springs... MUCH nicer.
Your's looks cool...
Curt
WELL DONE !!!
I'm sloooowly working on a longbed...
Mine had a shell quite similar, but it was toast... it wasn't part of my plan so it got cut up.
What have you done for a rear bumper ??
Curt
I too am in the same design phase... I like the J.J. platforms & the way they deploy. Hopefully I can mimic that & then find an appropiate sized tent...
Mine will be off a truckbed trailer, if I ever get my ******** in gear.
Good luck...
Curt
I knew it was out the I just had to spend some time to find it... Woods I think this is what you're referring to (maybe not)... I too want(ed) to use the lifting mech. I wanted to try it on a truckbed trailer ... this guy went a few steps further...
Cool build...
10-4... I think that's my sons B-Day weekend so I'll have to play it by ear...
Palen Pass... a few years back... between Hwy.177 & Midland
Stacked pill box...
Poured pill box...
Good luck with heal'n...
Curt
OUCH !!!
Maybe when it cools off we can do a little wheeling... I'm down in Indio...
Head east & south most of the time... nothing tooo serious, just want to get out & unwind...
Curt
There is a build on Expo. from a few years ago which came out nice... he use many parts from a pop up.
I have spent MANY MANY hours (days) trying to come up with a setup that would allow me to stand up & sleep 4 adults keeping it relatively low in profile and while I do have what I feel is a...
While it could be cleaner with A/N fittings and such it's worked for...... 10 years... I usually put a small (foot sq.) piece of foil under it to catch the residual oil once the filter is removed, plus a little will spill when I tip it slightly to maneuver it out. It's tight, but doable. Oil...
Did I miss it or am I not seeing the location of the oil filter ? I finally remoted mine right behind the A/C comp. on a bracket I made... not much room in there.
Looks good by the way...
Curt
Thank you for the thoughts and info.
Living in the desert I try to keep things covered & protected...
I'm still in the design/brainstorming/planning phase so should I go this direction I'll certainly contact you for further input.
Thanks again...
Curt
So I'm trying to build a tent/awning set up & found these Khyam tent pole joints... now I just need to find some several thousand miles closer.
Kyham isn't shipping them to So. Cal. so I was wondering if anyone knows of a similar joint on this side of the pond ??
Any thoughts or input is...
O.K. so I'm working on a "project" and found a tent pole "joint" I want... from Khyam.
So I have a few questions...
-Khyam... tents and hardware... COOL ?? or CRAP ??
-How about their Manual Joint & Auto Joints... Are they strong... any concerns or issues ??
-AND !!! Anyone willing to...
