    Go big or go home:

I've just been taking a screen shot of the picture I want to post and using that. Haven't got the image to large message that way yet.

Overlanding w Toys - Options That Won't Break the Bank

What's your budget? "Too rich for me" is pretty vague. A Harley or adventure bike is a heavy bike for a hitch rack. A converted bus where the bike can come in the big back door, or a converted delivery truck with a rear ramp would work. Throw a mattress on the floor and your camping gear in...

Awning height? 270 awning on mid height bed rack

Nice solution! I wonder if the OP could use a couple of drawer slides to accomplish something similar. A lever pull and he'd be able to slide the awning back out of the way of the door.

mattress for the back of a 4runner?

We went to a foam shop and tried a bunch of combos before purchasing some firm 4" foam and a 2" latex topper. They can cut it to what you need and are pretty helpful with foam knowledge.

    Slide in Camper Survey

I think this is a tough segment to satisfy. There are many offerings already on the market it's just usually a couple of things that are deal breakers for people; 4 seasonability, weight, layout, construction materials, price, etc. Already you can see in the responses to your questions the...

    Another DIY truck camper

Got some more work done on the camper, finished spraying the bottom half with raptor liner. And finishing up some odds and ends inside too. I've got to take some more pics of that soon. Also installed aux switches in my truck. I can't remember where I saw it but there was a picture of...

Post Pics of Your Hard Side Camper!

Holy crap! Good job on moulding it to the truck. Real tight fit there. Are you able to open those rear doors still?

    Another DIY truck camper

That'd be a good way to go for sure. I just used a skill saw and a jig saw to cut them out. I tried to use as much of the wood as possible, this way I could use the piece I cut out as the door. And the wood grain matches too.

    Build Balance

A mix of both. I had a 17' bumper pull and dreaded taking it down forest service roads. Something would always fall apart on it and turning it around on a narrow muddy road was a chore. It also was a pain to find parking while travelling and stopping for dinner. Always ended up eating at...

    Another DIY truck camper

Thanks! I notice all the little things I could have done different or better, but I am sure after I get some scratches and rock dings I'll care less. I am curious to know the final weight now too. Should be able to get it to the scales in the next couple months. It won't be completely...

Flooring Options in Composite Panel Campers?

We're the vinyl planks glued down? Iam going to be doing the floor space in my camper soon and was planning on vinyl plank flooring. It's a really small floor space so I may not get as much movement. We're talking 3'x6' in mine.

Pop-Up Camper - Custom Build (scratch built) Oasis-Si

Great build! Looks like we started our truck camper builds right around the same time and with very similar trucks. Don't worry, my camper is not done yet either... It's tough to keep motivated with all the little bits and details that need figuring, solving, and building with a custom box...

DIY Lithium Packs, Proposal and Discussion

I realize they have their own BMS. I was pondering building my own system using the cells and BMS approach rather than the drop ins.

DIY Lithium Packs, Proposal and Discussion

I am tempted to put something like this together myself, but I probably know just enough to be dangerous. Have been looking at going renogy or BB. If I did go this route I think I'd need 8 cells for 200ah and a quality BMS with temp cutoff, I am in the great white north. (I like the looks of the...
