I've got one. I bought just the tank and will get the pump later on. Bought it through Northern Tool and a good price at around $30US. I'm close to starting the mounting for it.
Time is always on short supply. The weekend 2 weeks ago I had just enough time to get the awning installed on the Xterra, and this past weekend, I had enough time to do a quick test setup in a parking lot, which was a bit of a pain because of the winds and that I wasn't on grass to be able to...
And this was a surprise package! I thought my stabilizer legs came in from the US, but it's actually my awning from China!
I also dropped the trailer off at the local 4x4 fab shop to get some suspension modifications done to the suspension and get some shocks installed. It should be done...
Best to check out Kijiji, used truck/4x4 groups, government surplus auctions and forums for local communities for the truck, but wrecking yards do normally have a section for good truck beds, but being a domestic, you can find new replacement aftermarket beds.
I had my idea for YEARS (about...
Not sure if the SMOD affects the Frontier, but it does the 05-09 Xterra. Rear locker is on the Pro4x model. They've been IFS since forever. Aftermarket support is ok. It's not a Jeep or Toyoya, but just enough to put on what you need.
Ya. I've also dropped from 17's to 15's. I do keep the 17's as my winter rims, but it's part that I don't want to part with the SC rims, but also, it makes it easier to get the tallest *true* winter tires compared to 16's and 15's. I ran the Pathfinder 15's for a while for my off-road and winter...
It's hard but doable. We tried last year with my new propane shower, and on a 20L, we would just have enough for me and my girlfriend. She's used more of course, but we did our best to do a combat shower; turning it on only when needed. My trailer has a 16 gallon tank going on soon, but it's not...
Cool, another truck-bed trailer build! Ya, projects are easy to go overboard ;) In the end, as long as you enjoy working on it, and especially, enjoy using it, that's all that really matters.
I agree with outside but a cover. There's several awning options you could look at to find one to suite your needs, and could even get one with sides and even a floor if you want to give yourself a good shelter, especially when the weather is really bad, an awing isn't enough if it's raining...
I'm not a gen2, but for mine, I decided to go the subtle route and did the Terrano II/Pathfinder snorkel, and painted it to color match the truck. It doesn't draw too much attention, but at the same time, for those who do notice it, ask what it is, and thinks it's factory.
Well a bit of an update. Nothing much happening on the trailer front, yet. Worked on the X yesterday by changing the power steering pump and fan clutch, and the next coming weekends I've got tests, then Ontario for my March Break and to bury my grandmother/godmother that passed while I was in...
I've had a few close calls from not having one. I picked one up 2 summers ago finally. You could do the homemade/PVC route. There's also the eBay fiberglass knockoffs. That's what I got. Being in Canada, the cost shoots up dramatically from the exchange and shipping across a border, and who...
I ran with the relocated sensor for about a year. She seemed to run just as bad. I tried a few things, even to the point I had the knock sensor unbolted, wrapped in foam and tie wrapped to a wiring harness and she was still detecting "knocks" so I eventually got fed up and did the resistor and...
Indeed. I've been running a resistor on mine for about 7 years. That truck is picky to have good sensors for it to be all running right. O2's and even the IAT in the airbox as well will affect your power and mileage.
OH, and what size is your light bar? Those InSane Fab brackets I take it.
