The answer would be no. If you go aftermarket you will lose the 4x4 screen. It's a cool little gimmick but it really has no real world use. I just turn off the screen in both our LR3 when I get I. So I don't have to look at life through windows 95.
Well after the radio sat in our garage for the better part of a week I plugged the radio in this morning for fun and what do you know it works again! Problem solved. This made me happy with my other Land Rover problems right now.
I'm unloading my LR3 right now to comb back to a Jeep. Specifically a 2005-06 Unlimited Rubicon. If anyone has some links to overland builds in these truck? I'm finding lots of Rock Crawling builds but that's not the direction I want to go.
I just did like paying so much for anoth outdated unit. The Bluetooth is subpar and function is just so so and the windows 95 style screen is tarable even for 2006. There are some really nice unit out there now that do so much more for less.
So my wife dumped soy sauce on her nav screen today and it ran down all over the head unit. It would appear to be dead now. Anyone point me to an aftermarket touch screen head unit for the LR3???
My LR3 is on ebay. All problems I was having have been repaired and I can transfer my Warranty to the new owner. The reason I'm selling is cost of owner ship of two LR3's is not for me.

It's not been abot streamline. I just don't like how it looks and it came on the truck. I have a trade worked out. Just need the time. I'm selling the truck soon, but I don't think having the snorkel or not will matter. Just not the truck for me in the end.
