This is very simple - if you want more complete control over your system, Victron. It has the ability to adjust all sorts of parameters in various components.

The last batch of VHB from McMaster Carr did not have the model number on it - it was the high temp version too. That tape is incredibly sticky compared to the crap laying around from Amazon - my team is not allowed to order those sorts of materials from Amazon.
I would not trust anything like...
An 8d battery is 250Ah or so - so your experience hangs with mine. Recall I said 2 nights in the desert...or 3 days on a 100Ah w/other crap running too. Can I get 6 full days out of 200Ah...hells no. I'd be in/out of it too much and the food/cold frozen content would dimnish...
Here is a quick...
All my fridges(just one) do fine running for a 2-3 nights plus running other gear/lights/ham radio/charging phones w/o solar on a 100Ah AGM battery. Ambient conditions vary - hot desert = 2 nights. Forest/cool = 3 nights. 2 nights w/2 fridges in a cool area w/o solar is about the limit. I use a...
Not a correct statement - not even close...the actual answer lies in the details.
Panels, with similar/same Voltage characteristics placed in parallel will have no idea there is another 50W or 150w or whatever sized panel on the circuit (or if there is 1500W of panels in parallel)...solar...
I find that sensibly priced purchases (like an Iceco) vs name/lifestyle brand/exorbitantly priced items get less air time. The off brands will often sell double the volume and be just fine. There are no influencers, no paid youtube videos, and no bragging rights with 'it works just fine gear'...
I have this fridge. Works great - it has been in continuous use about 60% of the time since it first showed up on Amazon over a year ago. The display is terribly inaccurate - but most fridges are.
It is used as a freezer on MAX mode - so runs more than most. The cover/bag really helps the...
Look for the ambulance/tow truck/commercial duty upfitters for alternator solution. American Power Solutions is one such company.
A separate DC/DC is not reqd if you have a programmable alternator controller/dedicated alternator (like a balmer).
Are you trying to run the DC a
A/C while...
Having dealt with issues like this - unresponsive overland equipment and upfitter vendors - a number of times, I have little patience for vendors that only respond after being called out publicly.
I started to read the vendors response and stopped once I got to the definition of libel and...
The RV industry is small potatoes in the world of transportation. Baby boomers aren't organized to really do much here either.
If commercial OTR transit organizations weren't able to stop the (now) existing CARB/CA diesel restrictions, do you really think RV or some random person can?

Forgot to mention - if you're traveling the world, there are few NA vehicles that are truly global. The Jeep Wrangler is about the closest thing you'll find. However, the world has become very small and you will likely be able to get any parts and find a workshop that is capable of fixing your...
Sprinters are actually pretty reliable. I have one as does a buddy - no real issues in 4 yrs of ownership. It is a short wheel base 6 cyl 4wd 2500. I run 35" tires and avg 17mpg. Ground clearance is massive - never hit anything underneath. The only low point is under the front end - but proper...
Why is your heater and muffler placed up so high? I'd rethink that and place it on the floor. That muffler will get hot and should be outside.

Hahaha...I have a Kodiak Canvas tent...once I started using lag screws and a Makita Impact, I no longer disliked set/teardown. These springbar and kodiak tents go up (and down) fast - i did a couple of races with soft sided RTT ... And usually won by a good margin too. Setup was certainly better...
I hate towing without trailer brakes....I don't care what the weight of the TV or the trailer. Much more control on road and the ability to manually activate the trailer brakes off road is key! You can do all sorta of things (getting to slide, pivot, etc) off road to help with positioning.
