Pop top or hard side dilemma

I'll have to go measure the height ...... :) 3.25m plus the detachable exhaust (don't ask - but it is useful as it will hit first and can be seen from cab). Forgot to mention, we let some air out of tyres to get into a car park in Chengdhu for a couple of nights camping. I'm about than 1.85m...

Pop top or hard side dilemma

pop top seemed to put constraints on windows, doors, bed, etc. that didn't suit my idea of space. Constraints of full height (drop top) are different. table hadn't been installed in this pic, the big rear window seemed important, the side windows are at head height when seated, the bed is...

Pop top or hard side dilemma

how could you possibly forget the "drop top"? :) normally full height solid side. For shipping in container the top half of sides are removable. Takes a few hours to convert each time. But then how many times in vehicle life does it get shipped in a container? A bit messy designing joints. All...

Suspension Seat Isuzu NPS crew Cab

driving position is very different. The "ridge" across the front can be hard on the thighs. I have a thin cushion in the hole. Hadn't thought of raising the rear. Plus is the long trips were longer at higher speed with original springs. No idea with parabolics but we've had some very long days.

Suspension Seat Isuzu NPS crew Cab

I changed seats in a Coaster bus, to electrically adjusted Lexus. Has to be a chain of fasteners of correct size and "backing plate" of correct area from body, for seat and seat belts. Yes, Qld engineer involved and mod plate. Constraint for Canter with suspension seats seems to be headroom...

    tyre to tray clearance

maybe a second forklift on the opposite side, lifting the frame, so one side is fully compressed, the other side fully expanded. also things "bend" under dynamic loads in ways that don't show with static loading. but 180mm from that position "should" be ok. I have 250mm from flat on the Canter.

    tyre to tray clearance

Mitsubishi have a rear axle bump diagram. I don't know about Isuzu. Simplistically, one side on squashed bump stop, the other side fully extended. The narrow chassis and dynamic forces mean the movement can be a lot more than one may imagine at first glance. Then allow for tyre size.

    Yet another brake issue.

something very wrong .... low vacuum and pedal to the floor are potentially inconsistent, possibly two problems. foot to the floor is either air in the hydraulic system or brake shoe adjustment too loose. it may be that excessive movement of the pedal uses more vacuum, if after fixing the...

Espar Airtronic D$ Air Heater Install Advice

on a Toyota Coaster I teed into the line from tank to engine, near the tank. Avoided the return line. With my Canter that approach failed as the line drained overnight. I could never find a leak. I drilled the tank and installed a webasto (similar to ebersp....) stand pipe. Similar to this...
