after we built the truck we went on a 3-year trip halfway round the world. Bit annoyed though, it was cheaper than living at home.
the benefits of however much one spends are mainly intangible. For me it was then a case of what is the minimum spend on vehicle to achieve desired aim.
I don't...
they are included in the ATW parabolic kit. Since I fitted both at the same time I don't know which did what. I suspect the Timbren softened the bottoming out. The old rubber was very stiff. Another part (later) was shock absorbers with softer compression harsher rebound.
what sort of tyres? It used to be that some put XZL on original rims as singles.
the wheel nut arrangement for duals is different to singles. The inner tyreless rim just acts as a spacer. If I can find them I have a couple of spacers (centre cut out of standard rim).
My recollection is the...
I haven't got round to flares yet, but about to.
Reason is the mud and rainwater that gets sprayed onto the side mirrors and side windows.
I normally don't drive in rain or dark. But every so often it just sort of happens. Not being able to see what is behind is a bit unsettling when trying to...
every so often .... a mixture of 5,000 km, when its convenient, and when it looks like it needs it.
I don't have a lubricheck. I guess I'd look for charts of viscosity and other characteristics of the oil on their scale. If water and anti-freeze (they show in their video) is rising then there...
bending my brain a bit :)
volts are acceptable. A bit low at idle. Charging ok. Must be a warmish day in UK or battery quite a bit discharged. I'm picking the latter. :)
I believe governor servo is another name for the fuel rack actuator. Error 11 is one that would be expected. I also don't...
all useful info, sounds like a very "hard" condition. Suggests the ECU or something mechanical is "switching". Just the ECU not telling us what it thinks the fault is.
I think we can discount the exhaust retarder (for now) as that would be much "softer".
the link you sent me to the fuel pump...
thanks,
I'm still making it up as I go along .....
definitely difficult with "error but no error code".
By way of explanation (your question about crank sensor) ... the way the fuel system works .... inputs are accelerator pedal position, engine speed, engine coolant temperature, idle speed...
PS
I checked the blink code for my vehicle which has no problems.
Ignition on, red and orange engine lights on, pull diagnostics switch, red light off, orange light flashes. Single one second flash followed by 6 second pause. Not a recognised code. Not "1", not "10". I'm guessing "Normal".
I...
it gets harder now ...... and I'm making it up as we go,
we've sort of made two steps forward and one back. We're still not certain the ECU is working correctly as we still have limp mode but no useful error code. We do know its capable of recognising and reporting error codes and that our...
sorry, my bad, its the red light that flashes ..... its a couple or more years since I had problems.
Be aware that there may be different codes for different years/models.
Thus, I would also interpret your long flash as "10" but there is no "10" in my manual and "01" is my normal.
(silly...
turn ignition on then disconnect diagnostics check causes orange engine light to flash error codes.
the "tens" digits are flashes are 1.2 seconds then gap of 1.2 seconds, followed by "units" of 0.4 seconds with gaps of 0.4 seconds.
then gap of 2.4 seconds to next code.
if you are seeing a...
we wonder about your statements and conclusions, you get upset about your honour! :Wow1: Makes it impossible to discuss the subject.
nice demo ...... that's what the fallacy describes.
