I found one of those before the pandemic. I haven't have a chance to use it yet. I can't wait too though. That's another reason to look for them at thrift stores and yard sales. You can find the better built old ones for only a few dollars.

I have a Zodi that came with a soft sided bag to hold the water in. It wasn't very stable. I put the Zodi in a 5 gallon kitty litter bucket with sealable lid. I use the bucket to hold the water when I'm heating the shower.

I think it was mostly the squelch. I watched lots of videos and read numerous threads about APRS on the Kenwood and I can only think of one that mentioned turning up the squelch and I didn't notice that post until after it was mentioned here.
