I found the traffic receiver okay. A little slow to connect/update when compared to Apple Maps but useful when it’s the only traffic option one has.

My Overlander came with one RAM mount. I just switched to using the RAM mount in my Jeep as the smaller diameter Garmin mount could not hold the Overlander over rough terrain. The HD Traffic cable works well too. I only use that while traveling in the RV.

Just tested the "flip" option and it does indeed flip the image. Meaning the BC35 will work as a forward facing camera. You can also remove the guidelines.
