Oh ? I didn't think of that. I want one camera for a backup camera anyway so I'll try it in the forward position just to see but I'm guessing you are correct.
The Overlander only needs a WiFi connection to update the software/maps. POIs can also be added via WiFi if you use the explore website as the Website/Overlander sync. Meaning I can add a POI (waypoint) on the website and it will update the device. Or, if I enter the waypoint on the device, say...
I exchanged the first Overlander with a second but have not updated the maps yet. I did update the software several times; current version 4.40 . One of the updates fixed a bug with "iOverland POIs being removed". I'll try updating to the latest mapset when I return to the US in a month or two.
iOverland POIs missing after update
I bought the Overlander the other day. After updating the software and maps I noticed the iOverland POIs did not exist. Unfortunately, I did not validate that iOverland POIs existed before updating. Garmin support told be to reload the maps. I tried that but...
I've been using the weBoost Drive X RV for the past 2 years. It can work when all else fails. I also have external MINO antennas that I connect to my mobile hotspots (ATT & Verizon). I'd say the 80% of the time the external antennas work the best if there is a signal available. 15% if the time I...
When I first read about the Pleasant Canyon loop trail it talked about starting from Pleasant Valley which means traveling in the opposite direction from our path. After that group navigated Chicken Rock they mentioned travel up that section of the trail would be more difficult. I’ve always...
(If you missed the day 1 post you can read it here)
The next morning I awoke to the smell of fresh coffee. Tino, who must be an early riser, had a pot of coffee brewing; he treated us to fresh coffee and Baileys every morning during the trip. I informed the group that since we were two days...
SOLD
50 qt ARB Fridge/freezer with Travel Bag, 12v and 120v plugs. This fridge is 4 years old and works perfectly. I’m changing the interior configuration of my Jeep and getting a fridge with a door that open from the side.
I'm currently in Palm Springs the LA area but will be in Phoenix after...
Waking up early the next day I packed up the Jeep and headed over to The Ranch at Death Valley for some breakfast. Tino had already started chowing down so I joined him for breakfast and several cups of coffee. Before long it was time to meet Ace and LandcruiserPhil at the gas station so we...
A short ways up the trail loomed Chicken Rock, the off-camber corner with a four hundred foot drop just inches away from our tires. But first, we would need to navigate the narrow shelf road to Chicken Rock. As I started making the climb, I looked out my window and watched as the valley floor...
SOLD I've used this air compressor for the last few years to air-up my 35" tires after offloading. Just installed onboard air so I no longer need this.
From Viair's website: Features our brand new I-Beam Sand Tray for improved stability and lighter weight. The 400P is a larger powerful...
Shock measurement
Front: 23 3/4"
Rear: 23 1/2"
This is with an AEV 4.5" lift and the HC springs. Jeep weighs ≈6100 lbs when these measurements where taken.
It’s not that hard to install the AEV lifts. I did my 2.5” but used Chris for the 3.5” install as I don’t have a garage or driveway anymore. Chris does excellence work and do not hesitate at all to have him work on my JKU. If you can do the work yourself then I’d do the install and have Chris do...
