Agree it isn't a Buffalo. Didn't mean to imply it was.
It is a little curious what it IS/was intended to be.
A little beefy for even a FOB airfield firetruck ...but who knows. *shrugs*
Idk about an MRAP... looks more like a prototype route clearance vehicle such as a Buffalo. Center operator seat is a little odd but doable I guess?
While it's not cheap you are getting a solid collection of new (?) Components/drive train.
Not all that excited on the Meritor axles... Axle tech...
I picked up a boat trolling motor plug from west marine the other day with the thought that it would work with my fridge. Haven't had a chance to play with it but I'm hopeful it'll work. Seems pretty stout.
I think this was it...
Yeah... they don't like citizens cramping their style.[emoji57]
I remember having to train with the Kuwati when they bought some of our M1s. As a tanker it concerned me...until we saw them try and operate them.
I've also seen current gen hmmwvs sold on Government liquidation. What made them...
Haven't seen mine in 5 years. It's been patiently waiting in storage for me to finish with the military and go to my last home. A buddy sent me a pic of it today... sure miss that truck. 99 cummins 2500, 5sp, 4x4. Needs some front end steering love and the lost 5th gear found, but it only has...
I hear ya.... Jeeps are always trial and error. I'm sure you'll nail it.
How do you like the MV50? I'm gonna mount something on the drivers side and can't afford the ARB big boy
Could you rotate the filter 90* clockwise? That could make the inlet meet a snorkel and the outlet aim at the motot. A square or rectangular plenum could be made to reach the intake...especially with your skills. My snorkel tubing is round and was a pita.
And a second battery fits the rear...
As I was wrenching on my suburban this weekend I couldn't help but miss my waggys. This old chevy's body is about gone thanks to rust. Then I started adding up how much money has been put into keeping it on the road and I got a little depressed. The frame and drive train (3/4 ton, 4x4) are...
Couldn't agree more. Saving my pennies now for some LED headlights for my XJ. Night driving is an adventure for all the wrong reasons with factory lights.
Yesterday was pretty cool. I was at the shop messing with my suburban and an acquaintance showed up. He keeps his 1944 Ford GPW at the shop. He brought a friend that needed leaf springs replaced on his 1945 Willys MB. Asked me to do a couple repair welds on the '45. I just thought it was cool...
There's an XJ member here that lives in Germany. Can't recall his name as I'm still waking up. Good guy, sells stuff too.
Bluegerbil (?) That may be his name...sorry, waiting on coffee to brew.

Been putting some miles on mine back and forth to the shop (+/-9miles) to shake it down. Ive done so much that there are sure to be gremlins. It does make some odd noises and I found a partial cause of one of them. Seems my stupid self forgot to fill the t-case after putting it back in. :o
I'll...
I'd suggest poster board for templates.
A good coat of bedliner can help kill some of the tin can effect and keep rust away. Mines still a work in progress and I did drawers instead of a platform base so I can't offer much input.
