Just a lil tip... if you wrap painter blue tape along the area you are cutting (or masking tape) it will often reduce the amount of splintering you get from the saw. Also, use the finest blade (most teeth per inch)you can for delicate cuts for the same purpose. The box looks a lot better...
Today was kinda a let down as far as progress. Last thing i tried was to install the snorkel but it isn't behaving and most of my tools are in the Scrambler. *Sigh* Oh well... gonna have a couple beers and then tomorrow I will try and make some more progress on the roof rack or something.
Looking good JS... See your up to your usual amazing standards! :)
I have to wonder what these would be called when they are done... Does it make the TJ a TC? A T/Cj? T&J??
Someone's got their priorities just right....Filthy jeep, clean tires! lol! Good to see you went the retread route and hope to hear a long term opinion of them. Did you get the walnut shell additive?
Thank you sir! Glad your along for the ride. :)
Today I stopped by the main recycle center just for a quick peek. I really, REALLY don't need to be dragging any more junk...uh, stuff home! But it was on the way. (lame justification!) Well... I quick glance showed me a full duffle bag laying on...
I always found that with the lowest possible air pressure on my 83 F/S Cherokee (6cyl, 4sp,33x10.50 BFG muds) I encountered a lot less wheel spin and seemed to get more grip. Helps get you where you want without much freaking out... ;)
Did you guys air down at all for that hill attempt? That can make a large difference in how one can handle the off pavement trails.
Keep your eye peeled on CL or do your research for a DIY TBI conversion. I can tell you the difference between it and a carb are amazing! And by using junk yard...
I vote matching wheels and tires on the trailer to tie it all together! Of course that means you'll have to move a FS spare somewhere else... but I think that would be an awesome look! :) And if you could blend in some early model FSJ tail lights like what are on the waggy and stretch a waggy...
Is this a show that's already started? I just saw an ad in a magazine here (Mails a little slow here in Germany, haha) and only started looking into it. Got a link to something more than my teaser vid off Youtube?
Yeah....lol! I agree brotha! Not a hard thing to do (Wu?) better than but this should be interesting! :) Really hope the Jeep wins but that Econoline is pretty cool too!
Update time...
As its been over a month since I've updated this I think it about time. Life here has been busy but the big news for me is I am finally on orders to get out of Germany. Like the saying goes.."Its been real, its been fun...but it hasn't been real fun!"
With that in mind...
With the recent huge disappointment for me by the "One car (and an IDIOT) to far"... I'm really hoping this will be a much better show. :)

Nope... Haven't gotten to it yet. :( I've been pinging off of the myriad of projects I seem to have created all at once and not doing very well at organizing or time management. Haha! Plus I just came down on orders to head back stateside (VA) so this may have to wait a bit. I did get started on...
