As a 1 tonner myself, I will say that they are not cheap. Even the 125k miles or more are pulling $25000+ Sure gas will be a little cheaper and give you some more payload. Id say look around before getting rid of your truck. You may find the best option is to keep it.

For what youre asking, I would do 4 door truck with cap. You can do a lot with that. Storage and sleeping arrangements are endless. I might just be truck biased. Ive considered an SUV for similar ventures but sleeping space eats up any interior storage. Unless you get a rooftop cargo holder or...

At first I thought that was miles... For that much, better off stepping up to that Earthroamer. But ya, Id like a 4x4 van myself.

With more than just the 6.0 available, I would not go that route. As others have said, forget the lifts. 350 is plenty tall enough and if you get a CCLB like me, trails and parking get limited. I wouldnt have it any other way, though.
