Receiver mounted winches - an idea.

Sounds like an ExPo kinda guy. Welcome, JD. Kee us posted on the build! (And get some pics of your Rubi up over in the Jeep section! Sheez, what'rya waitin' on?!? ;) )

    Prayer out for ya, bro.

    Trailer storage

You can make these "boxes" thingies you speak about out of wood. Or even metal. Or maybe something else. :D Seriously, though, I'm just messin' with ya. Welcome to ExPo, Gene! Without a pic of the trailer, it's hard to make a decent recommendation. I think something like the attached...

    NATO/Scepters in Factory Spare Location?

I seem to remember seeing a build thread for a metal cage/shelf which held two NATO cans in a truck's spare tire factory location (under truck bed behind bumper). I might be interested in trying this with my Tacoma, but I'm interested in the ensuing pros/cons from that fella's build. I have...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

Thanks. My topper is a Leer 100r with windoors and sliders. Check my build thread for more info. (Link on signature line below.) The thing hanging there is a battery-operated LED lantern. Runs nearly forever on 4 AAAs. Got it at Wal-Mart for like seven bucks, and it's been super useful...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

6string's Storage/Sleeping Since first happening across BajaTaco's site, I have always admired the security, convenience, efficiency, and common-sense approach to having a sleep/storage platform in a pickup bed. I started with thoughts inspired by his design, then built upon those with ideas...

    6string's '01 Taco Build

'Preciate ya! I've actually never seen where anyone else has done this. (Not that I've searched in particular.) I suppose I was wingin' it.

    6string's '01 Taco Build

Thanks! The BNR is where I will have my ashes spread when I die. No kidding; it's in my will. I am so connected to that area, and to Newton County in particular. It's amazing. Oh, and an insider tip: Labor Day through Halloween, then again from March to Memorial Day. Trust me. There may...

    6string's '01 Taco Build

As much as I want it, and as close as I've come to putting the money down, I just can't afford a new CBI rear bumper yet. I am remodeling an 80-year old Arts & Crafts bungalow, and I've had to funnel some of my truck budget there... for now. ;) For the time being, I am tired of looking at my...

    MillerPKA's Build Thread

What treatment product are you going with? I just started mine today with a mix of Rustoleum Undercoating for the plastic pieces and body sheet metal, and POR-15 for the frame. So far, so good, but DANG, the going is s-l-o-w. You having better luck with something else?

    auto vs manual

I like my 5 speed. Makes me feel more "in command" of the vehicle. (But, then again, I'm a control freak. ha!) :smiley_drive:

Crossing Granit Creek in record flood

Fellas, no need for cheap shots. For me at least, I am a US Army Ranger. I am paid by your tax dollars to travel to far away places, jump out of airplanes, and get blown up by and exchange gunfire with the enemies of our country for months on end... while y'all hang out in the wilderness and...

    Bilstein 5100 rear shock problem...

Oh, $hiz... Sorry for ya, bro. I'd call Bilstein first thing in the a.m. and ask their input. For future reference: I don't know if I'd roll around on one shock ever. Very strange that both had this prob. Coincidence? Hmmm....

My Son's summer in whistler in 5 minutes!

Wonderful! A son who is out living life to the fullest instead of sittin' in a cubicle?! I can only hope for the same, so that I may, too, re-live my youth through my daughter. You're only young once. Clearly, you're a proud dad. Kudos, and thanks for sharing!
