gnarly trail for sure -- we were lucky that the only casualty was a broken halfshaft and some soiled drivers' seats. Of the 6 trucks 5 had at least a rear locker and 3 were running 38" tires instead of the stock 37" -- other than that they were all stock (one truck was all btm/no locker!). The...
the tip over in the parking lot is funny -- what a moron. Inertia is a *****, though he's lucky the sides are flat or it would have ended up on the roof! With the passenger wheels on the ground he could have driven to the top. Most 4x4's would probably roll without the push before that point...
Predator seems to be the place to go for engine swaps. They have been dropping duramax engines into hummers/humvees for a while..they make some crazy claims of efficiency and speed, but they do a great job. I would go with a cummins and as manual/computer-less as possible for simplicity if I...
I could be wrong, but I think the AM General test track's side slope is at 40% not 40 degrees to give an example of the published 40% side-slope/60% incline spec for all their trucks. If it was at/over 40 deg that is impressive! On trails I usually see people standing on bumpers to keep most...
Why did you get rid of the disco? Is it still on it's side on a trail where a bunch of hummers took you and said "you can make that -- you probably won't roll"?
What's the vehicle of choice now?
the yellow rover does look nice -- If he is going maybe I will go too. It will be nice to know such an extremely nice guy in a capable vehicle will be there to pull me out!
That h2 is bone stock...I bet a bone stock disco would not have made it either. Eric and I are in So Cal...we'd love to go out with you sometime so you can pull us out! Let us know.

the h3's above are really nice -- the green one looks great!
Here's a picture from a toy drive last year showing the h3 and h1 close together for comparison -- found it interesting.
yours will probably be about the same. I am on 39.5's (at 40 psi in the pic) but have an airbag suspension so I can raise the truck for clearance when wheeling then come back down to reality for cruising around town/getting into garages. As far as ground clearance numbers for comparison...I...
Travis is indeed awesome! And Mesa Dusk has always been my fav color. Here's a snapshot of mine from this afternoon...just got it back from the fab shop so have to put all my tools/spares/equipment back in!
