Didn't know some of 98 winter package have adjustable suspension

Not all 98's came with adjustable shocks. From outside the most obvious way to identify a Montero with adjustable shocks is looking at the Rims, they came with Chrome rims.

    Idling at 200 RPM - Gen 2.5

Was driving down the freeway yesterday, took an exit and stopped at signal. Noticed the truck is idling at like ~200 RPM. It won't bog down though, drives and accelerates but truck shudders a lot at certain speeds. Also feel like there is slight loss in acceleration. Although it gets up and...

    Heater Core...

You will have to take the box out that holds the core... That's how i did it. Also if you order the Mitsubishi core, it comes with the box that holds the core. I think that is smart cos the old box would have marinated in coolant for so long that if you re use it.... It will blow coolant smell...

what is part number connected to brake line and rear diffrential

Why would you want to bypass the distributor? There is one line coming in to distributor from LSPV, and the distributor is to distribute equal force to both rear wheels. If your rear brakes work, keep the old distributor and change the brake lines only.

    Brakes upgrade Gen 2.5

I did say "Extra distance" and never expressed following close! Per your tip I did I bleed the LSPV and there were Air bubbles in it. Thank you for the tip. But I still feel it's spongy, but you could be right may be I'm expecting too much and the bigger tires don't help. I'll bleed the whole...

what is part number connected to brake line and rear diffrential

I don't think you have to change that distributor. The distributor itself should be fine, but you need to change the brake lines. They will develop a leak eventually and it's dangerous. We just did that 2 weeks back on my Gen 2.5 Buying Factory lines is a rip off, buy the lines from an auto...

    Brakes upgrade Gen 2.5

I haven't bled that, thank you for the pointer. Let's see if that helps I have KYB GAS A Just (think that's what they are called) in front, they are about an year old. Do you think KYB MONOMAX would help with this? I will stay tuned for the upgrade you are coming with. Thanks

    Brakes upgrade Gen 2.5

Hi all, was wondering if there are any upgrades anyone has done here for Gen 2.5? I have 33" on new akebono pads all round and new rotors/ calipers in front. Bled the system. But I still feel the braking is not good enough, also it's a little spongy. Always have to keep extra distance from other...

    Air Lift

Anyone tried one of these in their trucks? I'm curious about how or if it provides additional stability (less body roll) and ride comfort? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Air-Lift-60747-Air-Lift-1000-Coil-Spring-Fits-90-04-Montero-Montero-Sport-/172256787478?fromMakeTrack=true No affiliation, just...

    Heater Core...

Have been through this last year, right about this time. There is no aftermarket source i could find. OEM is the only option I got. Did it myself. I think total in parts it was about $400. You may find them at pick and pull, but you will take a risk of how long they will last considering they...

ARB Jeep TJ/LJ 97-06 bumper on Gen 2.5

Hello all, Looking to put an after market front bumper. Few months back got a used FJ cruiser bumper after I read some threads on here....... but saw that it was too wide for Montero's front end and required cutting/shaving on both sides for it to blend in. So sold that one. Have any one fitted...

H4 LED headlights on Gen 2.5

Anyone fitted one of those? Is the beam focussed or would it blind the oncoming traffic? I know HID headlights do that(blinding) without a projector in our cars. My goal is to get better brighter headlights without blinding the oncoming traffic. Thanks
