    The ultimate Aussie expedition camper

I continue to over think my (one day) build, but after thinking more recently about a full alloy build, I have been thinking this last week about a folded steel sub frame/body frame, with glued alloy skin, blown (polyurethane) insulation, and glued on inner skin. By folded, I mean instead of all...

    Materials selection

Thanks for that! So when you look at the SketchUp views below, do you see wood and fiberglass, or perhaps an alloy exterior like in post #1? Or? I realise we all bring a different 'skill set' to the table, but as much as I like the composite panel deal, cost is clearly a factor going that route...

    Materials selection

Would you be able to give us a short description on how you insulated your truck, and any improvements you can now see? Wood is one thing I hadn't really considered, yet! I had wondered about spray polyurethane instead of polystyrene. And how did you then line the inside?

Sirocco Overland 2013 Expedition: UK - Vladivostok (Siberia) Adventure

Congratulations! So when you look at the Google Earth image in post one, and see that wriggly red line, how does it feel now you are at the right hand end? I have one of your 'stan photo's as one of my wallpapers. Sitting down here, it (your route) still has a great draw to me. I've recently...

XPCamper V2 Tacoma Camper: Specs, Pics and Pricing

I was reading this article and it says the 2013 Tacoma has 1050lb payload capacity. Hmmm. The NZ toyota site says - http://www.toyota.co.nz/NewVehicles/Models/Commercial/Hilux+4WD/SR5+TDi+4+Door+Double+Cab/3.0L/Manual/Tech+Spec/Dimensions.htm By my math, thats 1892lbs (worse case). I thought the...
