Do all the Montero people have a Mosin or something? Mine's from the Izhevsk armory and was built in 1925. Serial number match on everything and it looked unused when I got it.

I wouldn't worry about 1/4" difference per side. I'd bet every corner has a slightly different ride height. Mine sure does but they're all within 1/4" or so. No problems so far :)

Another vote here for a Montero. No other vehicle in your list will get a factory rear locker for 3k. They have a lockable center diff too so that give you 2wd, AWD, 4hi and 4low. Fully boxed frame and BIG axles front and rear.

I'd just drill it and use some 3M Marine sealant 5200. That stuff is designed to work underwater so it'll do a grand job of sealing out rain. Just be careful to not crush the lid when you tighten the nuts. It may even behoove you to sleeve the holes so you can't crush it. Just use some steel...
