    255/85/16 vs 285/75/16

My D1 had 285/75s when I first got it and it felt really underpowered on the highway, and daily driving. Made the switch to 235/85s and it was a completely different truck. I know MajorPayne on here has 255/85s on his D1 and is planning to downsize to 235/85s, might want to get in touch with him...

    235/85/16 on a DII

Well I may have a line on a set of 16s with some regular street type tires on them, the guy offered to trade those pluss 200 bucks for my 18s. I figure I can just run the street tires until treadwright gets the Wardens back in stock and then order up a set.

    235/85/16 on a DII

How well does a 245/75/16 fit on a stock DII? I have a line on a set of 16" wheels and am thinking of buying a set of Treadwright Warden AT (BFG copy) for them in that size.

    Its mornings like this

I'd love to get a trip together for sometime after the holidays. Funny story about where we went in and came out lol. We entered off of Buffalo City Road/US64 All of the entrances to the park have road maps available which is nice, it would be really easy to get lost back there. At some point...

I hear ya, I grew up in Michigan and lived for a while in far Northern WI. Although I've got to say driving on snow is better than driving on slick ice.

My bad, T/C never went active, it's early...cut me some slack :coffee: Agreed on the people freaking out thing for sure, if everyone would just slow down and leave a little more space between cars they'd be fine.

    Its mornings like this

that make me love my Land Rover even more. Here in central NC we got a dusting of snow last night, enough to stay on the roads. Its 29* out right now, raining and everything is solid black ice. Saw several cars in the ditch on the way to work, numerous 2wd pickups struggling up the slightest...

    Dr Martens...still good?

Got the boots yesterday and I am quite happy with them, they fit my foot really well and the leather appear to be good quality. The soles are comfortable and supportive. I'll post up a in a few months how they are holding up!

What is the deal with Rovers?

Kinda strayed off topic a bit, if you want a rover buy one! For the time being there are plenty of parts etc etc. I love my rover, and plan to drive it for quite a while, but when I start spending more time wrenching on it then driving it I'll move onto something else. For me having a truck...

    Dr Martens...still good?

I should add that these are going to be my everyday shoes, I already have a pair of Keens and a pair of Tecnica approach shoes for outdoor type stuff, as well as a pair of Chaco sandles for in the summer :) I just ordered the Dr. Martens Jasper from Zappos, should be here later this week.

    Dr Martens...still good?

I am thining of picking up a new pair of light leather boots for everyday use. I had a pair of Dr. Martens back in HS (mid 90s) and they were awesome, literally wore them off my feet over 4 years of everyday use. I see they are now made in Asia and was wondering if the quality is still there...
