This is not my truck but Little Red (Son in law). We are putting an Onan 2500 W LPG generator in this rig. We removed the cabinet above the rear bumper and there is ample room to fit it in there.
By my early eyeballing it looks like we can have it sit above the bottom of the bumper rail...
7 off 22.5 x 11.75” rims (think steer tires for a cement truck). Plus 6 off 22.5 x 8”.
Well that’s what I think I bought. Not sure of the stud pattern apart from being fairly sure that are hub pilot 10 lug. So either normal hub pilot rims or 10 on 335 hub pilot.
Just bought these at an online auction. Hope they fit??? At least to do the mockups for the sawzall engineering of the fender rework. Now to try and find a cheap 385/65R22.5 tire around the place.
I would love to claim I picked it after a lot of careful research etc etc. The reality is I wanted a known brand 80 amp mppt controller and this one popped up on craigslist as a new open box one at a very good price.
My inverter is the Magna Sine MS2000 I think. The good news is that it can run the microwave and Nespresso machine at the same time. But it sure eats the batteries hard.
Just for reference the Panasonic microwave is rated at 900W. When running at full or 1/2 power it draws 890W according to my...
Ok it runs the Panasonic microwave without an issue. Strangely it draws 150A on the inverter at power level 10 and 146A at power level 5. When I get some time I will drop my watt meter on the AC side and see what is happening there.
But the best news of all is that the inverter handles my...
Turn the stove off. Remove and refit the regulator at the tank. Turn the regulator at the tank on slowly. Turn the stove on slowly.
Same thing used to happen to my BBQ regularly until I finally bought a decent quality regulator and hose.
The lower the lights the better for getting contrast on bumpy surfaces. If the lights are too high they fill in the lighting in the holes making it harder to see the bumps.
Now for me to be a hypocrite I am leaving the big light bar on my Ambo just because it does work well for area lighting...
Drip some fuel carefully down the carb as it is running. If that doesn’t smooth it out then it is a fair bet you have spark issues or compression problems.
Take the spark plugs out and either buy/borrow a compression tester or at a minimum get someone to crank it over while you put your finger...
I find this hard to believe. Diesel is usually available in any small town especially where farming or primary industries are located. I actually used to have more trouble finding diesel in the suburbs. But these days it’s not an issue.
Well I managed to find 60’ of 4/0 welding cable yesterday so if I can get the lugs today I should be able to tel you how the Panasonic inverter microwave works with a Magnum inverter.
Hopefully I will have the 4/0 cables for my inverter installed this weekend and I can take some readings for you. If you have a true sine wave inverter you can consider getting an inverter type microwave which will greatly reduce the inrush current and allow you to run a higher wattage microwave.
