Anyone with experience with the InTech Flyer Pursue?

Ah so more of a coleman failure than a intech failure, I think now they are using another brand for the aircon wonder if its any more or less robust on the mounting brackets. I think I'll go pop the cover off and put some loctite on the bolts before next season, however my trailer kinda glides...

Victron Energy: Alternator/Solar Charging - LFP Battery System

Id be more worried about dirt and leaves, I carry around a gas station window cleaner so I can scrub the dirt, seed pods and other crap off my fixed roof panel.. even driving between sites it can get a nice layer of dirt.. then thanks to all the deserts and california burning to my west our rain...

    Which Radio ?

Those cheap Chinese HAM radios are such a great way to start, not a big investment to learn the ropes.. I hadda hittup garage and estate sales looking for radios because it was so expensive for a new one that would get such limited use. They make good backup and testing hardware later once...

Lithium based chemistry for starting batteries

Well to be fair, Gel is terrible for most everything.. and Lithium has much wider applicable uses.. but I see the same thing as AGM's going on.. spend more money, drop it in a system not designed for it, reap few if any benefits from the tech, then kill it way before it deserved to die. My...

Lithium based chemistry for starting batteries

I thought I knew what I was getting into when I bought my LFP, I had spent many long nights reading white papers and posts.. but I learned more in the last year and a half post-purchase than I ever could had before.. first you need to forget everything you think you know about batteries based...

Victron Energy: Alternator/Solar Charging - LFP Battery System

yeah with all the EV toys coming out like Dirt Bikes, Mountain Bikes, Scooters, OHV's I build my system with those needs in mind.. when Ive got good sun I'd have no problem charging my house bank and a small EV at the same time.. I fully intend to put a few hundred thousand miles on my trailer...

Victron Energy: Alternator/Solar Charging - LFP Battery System

ah I spend so much effort trying to avoid that term.. but I suppose, we're all having fun and getting use out of your solar system eh? :p drives me a bit bonkers when I see solar system used for PV installs.. kinda like Automatic ATM Machine.. Solar Setup, PV System, Cosmic Photon to Electron...

Lithium based chemistry for starting batteries

If the starter battery is full and not taking a current its gonna do jack squat for a high spike.. lead/lithium or even a big giant cap.. and starter batteries spend a vast majority of their time completely full.. if there's nothing willing to sink that current quickly, its spiking. Now if the...

and the price would reflect that, which it does not.

Lithium based chemistry for starting batteries

even if its too cold for battery to recharge, its still able to discharge and provide all the buffering needed for the alternator.. so I dont think thats a problem. Lithium has advantage that load size dont really effect efficiency.. a 20C Starter Load is going to Zap more energy out of a tiny...

Lithium based chemistry for starting batteries

Ok, so they expanded to wanna be racers and mall crawlers.. Big market for selling worthless stuff to people with too much money. however, they are not really suitable for this crowd I suspect with very long days on the road and very extreme temps.. if anyone here needs a lightweight starting...

Lithium based chemistry for starting batteries

most engine bays get quite warm, id be more worried about high heat abuse than cold temp abuse.. I'd imagine after 20-30mins of driving it'd of soaked up enough heat to charge just fine if the internal BMS controls low temp charging like it should.. and then it'd charge back full in like no time...

Lithium based chemistry for starting batteries

those are for racers, not general purpose use.. 2lb starting battery vs 20lb for the Deka ETX-30L ive got in my race car.. for about $100 more, eh not bad.. Ive spent more to save less weight I suppose.. both output 400 cranking amps, fact I'd never drive my race car in the winter w/no wipers...

Anyone with experience with the InTech Flyer Pursue?

the fenders on every other model look better than what I got on my tandem axle.. I think if they had continued production of my model the'd of done something about the fenders by now.. at least guards so the'll take road cones w/out damage. Did anything fail on the air conditioner mounting...

7 Pin for charging + 4 pin for driving?

so your saying distance through air is not enough insulation for some connectors above a certain voltage? (y)

7 Pin for charging + 4 pin for driving?

yeah those ratings are valid, breakers and fuses might not break far enough to prevent arcing at higher voltages, same with connectors being insulated enough from each-other.. fuses and breakers also have thermal limits that will be wattage limited.. the copper wiring dont care too much if the...

Anyone with experience with the InTech Flyer Pursue?

they are standard fenders, not really heavy duty.. I wouldn't sit or stand on em.. eventually I'd like to upgrade mine to something more heavy duty but its not really a priority because nobody could sit or stand on em anyhow w/my sides out. FWIW it took a road cone at 70mph rather well, was...

7 Pin for charging + 4 pin for driving?

nah, amps is the limiting factor of wiring.. most wiring is rated for like 600v if you keep it within current spec.. and then I think that limit is more determined by insulation between conductors so you dont get arcing like a stungun.. 36v would be nothing I'd be concerned with. The safest...

    Anyone having issues with KO2's?

40k miles with my KO2's on my tow vehicle, never been rotated or balanced since I put em on.. wearing perfectly fine, no chunking, no cracking, no vibrations, no complaints.. My jeeps not even lifted and it gets death wobble bone stock, thought it was a design feature.. whats the fun in living...
