After reading this thread I picked up one of the smaller blue water bricks and I can store about 20 cups of dog food in it which is about 10 days worth for my German Shepherd. Its the perfect size to fit under my Jeeps back seat. Thanks for the suggestion!
What is the proper way to use the two straps that are attached to the center pole inside the tent. I believe they are to act as tie downs so the mattress doesn't shift when folded, but they have some odd loops on the ends. I've been just tying them together before I fold it up. Is this correct?
I got my Tuff Stuff a couple weeks ago, picked it up locally for $1000 Cash. How can you turn that down! I ordered a Tepui ladder extension and a CVT accessory channel so I can install the annex without removing the travel cover. All works well. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I can't...
What if you went even bigger and completely eliminated the factory window inset portion? it would eliminate the funny contours and give a larger window. Maybe it would weaken it to much, maybe not.
The ride is dramatically improved. I was bouncing off the bump stops way more often than I realized. I need to get this thing on a scale... and upgrade the brakes.
A little update.
Finished my fridge slide enclosure:
Installed Tuff Stuff RTT/awning and went camping
Crawled some rocks:
Installed 5.5" Rock Krawler rear springs to help offset the weight
Level at the rock rail
Started modifying my dog platform, had to shorten it due to our...
Getting close finishing my fridge slide.
This enclosure accomplishes a few things. 1. It keeps people out of the fridge when the top is off. Obviously it's wood so we're just keeping honest people honest. 2. Allows me to store my camp stove above the fridge and take advantage of that space. 3...

Guys with a family of 3 and a big GSD space is limited in my Jeep. We've got a nice trip coming up and I need to start planning how to pack my wives clothes. We'll be gone for 6-9 days total. Some will be spent in a motel while others will be camping. She loves to over pack and get all done up...
Thanks, I figured those were the solution, hopefully they are strong enough for the poll-less design. Any idea on the length when open. Does it cover the drivers door while still wrapping around the back of the Gobi?
I love the shadow awning system, very nice! I've been trying to select the best RTT and awning set up for my needs and this may be the awning I choose. Anyone successfully mounted one of these to a JKU w/ a Gobi? I assume it would be very similar to the FJ with the Baja Rack mounted above.
