Or at least compress the springs. Watching Icon's instructional video they make it seem like it's no big to just get a spanner wrench on there quickly adjust the ride height. My experience has been anything but easy. At this point I'm going to leave them as is until I send them into get...
Brute Force Fab is indeed still making them. I think they make several different styles of the rear bumper including high clearance and normal, with options for swing outs and such. It's on my list to purchase.
Nice work on the front end. What brake lines did you go with? That's one thing I haven't done but probably should. I'm curious as to how the Fox's perform for you as well.
The price will vary depending on where you live. In WA I could not find a DC Tundra for anything less than 14K, and none of them were in as good of shape as this one. The miles were lower yes, but this truck seems to be very well maintained. In other areas people have been able to get a nice...
Are you sure it's not an exhaust leak around the manifolds? Pretty common on these engines. Mine had the ticking, never went away even if the engine was warm. New manifolds and gaskets solved the issue for me.
If your old hardware is corroded it could be a very rough job. If everything is clean then it really ought to be very straightforward to swap the coilovers. Mine was a nightmare because my lower shock bolts were rusted to the bushing sleeve and would not come loose no matter what. I had to...
Why not look into Leitner Designs' Active Cargo System? This system, and others, is designed so the upper crossbars can be moved all the way forward, opening up the bed for dirtbikes and whatever else. That way you can mount the awning on the rack and actually have it be useful. I'm...
I have the 14in 700lbs King springs on mine and have them cranked down to 1.25 inches of thread showing. I can go up to 1.5" I believe. That gives me about 22.5-22.75" from center hub to lower border of the fender. When I have them rebuilt I plan to have the shop crank it down a bit more to...
Not sure what the difference is between a 1st gen Taco and 1st gen Tundra when it comes to sway bar linkage, but my Wabfab quick-disconnects for my Tundra need to be completely removed. Yes they have the pull pin, but if you just pull the lower connection off, the lower control arm will **********...
Nice work on the cut and subsequent bend of the metal. I really want to do this at some point in conjunction with a high clearance bumper.
Why do you want to keep the factory mud flaps? Being courteous and not wanting to spit rocks at people? Will the factory mud flaps reach down far...
I was thinking maybe rear bearings as the front two are brand new, but the shop put the stethoscope to them and said they sounded fine....then again, there wasn't any load on them at the time.
Well, re-lubing the driveline didn't do much unfortunately. The vibration and noise is still there.
Took it to the shop I normally use and they can't figure it out. Everything sounds fine with the truck in the air....driveline, transfer case, both diffs, bearings, etc. I'm not sure they're...
I think there might be a partial improvement on my vibration issue. I did some looking under the truck and remembered that the double cardan joint hadn't been lubed since I bought the truck.....it's embarrassing I know. I didn't have a fitting for the grease gun that would get into those tight...
Onegen - just an FYI with the Camburg's that I just found out on my own set....the uniballs appear to be some sort of plated metal, rather than stainless steel. I didn't realize that Total Chaos uses stainless, and Camburg apparently doesn't. It shouldn't be an issue for you seeing as you are...
