In case anyone is interested- I noticed there is no Ovrlnd camper owner/perspective owener facebook group like there is for the GFC and FWC campers so I went ahead and made one. Seems with growing number of people who have one already or have one on order it may be a good alternative for people...
That’s what I figured on the frame. Wouldn’t make sense to do it otherwise.
What do you use your hatch for if you don’t mind me asking? Have you gotten use out of it?

Appreciate the feedback. Fortunately I think I have some time for the final decision and will certainly discuss options with Jay. My intent would be to have the layout the same just not have them cut the holes. This would also allow me to decide in sections if I want 1 or 2 fans. There shouldn’t...
Mind sharing how you redid it? Or did you still route it along the lift mechanism?
Thanks for the advice on doing it from the get go, but wanting 2 fans I just can’t justify spending $400 on installation alone plus $300 each in fans when I have all the supplies already (jigsaw blades for...
Yeah, I know where it ends up. But curious how roof wiring gets to the lower part given the pop top motion. I can’t imagine there’s just a wire dangling when it’s down.

Anyone know how they route the wiring for the fans? I know where the end up but curious how the routing works with the pop top motion. I’m currently leaning for no fan so I can install the one I want and save $200

Just put my deposit down for my ovrlnd and need to make some decisions on hatches, which cab over height, and a few other things. Current plan is to put it on my TRX so my concern with the hatches is it’s just so tall for my 5’7 self.
So far only things on the must have list are clear vinyl...
Yeah. Just a challenge. I typically don’t run any vehicle/rig longer than a year. So hard for me to commit to any of these options that are a year out. This is reminding me why I usually build instead of buy.

Well the one that was on the way already sold quickly (as I should've guessed). So If I get one, I will have to wait. However, I am not sure if I'd rather wait 8 months for this or a year for a pop top like project M or an camp ovrlnd.
Ram 1500 TRX. I’ve seen RSI on one but not an RLD. There’s definitely features I like more on the rsi like the bed light window and standard sliding side windows. But RSI can’t even provide any eta and I’ve heard because of the seams they tend to leak a bit more. The rld just seems more robust...
Thanks. You brought up a few things I was curious about.
Couple follow up ?’s:
1. It appears the positive pressure vent is just a little hatch in the roof. I understand it’s there to allow air in this pressurizing and keeping dust out from the tailgate area. But what keeps dust and rain from...
Went to look at an RLD design topper today and the quality seems great. I want to be able to sleep in the back of it so wanted the sliding side windows. But the dealer told me it’d be 8 months to arrive. Then they came running out to the parking lot saying they had one on the way but it’s go the...
Sucks they won’t do a 22. I’m looking for one for my 22 ram TRX. Much like your 22 it’s the exact same as previous model years.

Looking for a lightweight camper topper for my Ram 1500 TRX (5'7 bed). Not after one brand in particular so would consider a Go Fast, Four Wheel Camper Project M, Super pacific, AT overland (atlas preferred but summit or others considered), Ovrlnd, Alu cabin, etc... Also may consider non pop...
I have my new TRX on order and should arrive before end of the year and need to figure out how to make it work for camping since I sold my 4x4 ambulance conversion. Problem is TRXs have a pretty low payload.
So I started looking into the lightweight pop up topper options and even the RSI...
