Another vote for the Pack-it style cubes. Either Eagle reek or amazon's version. Very nice and multiple sizes for whatever level of kit you put together. We have 15xx Pelican filled with them for our truck kit and we use smaller ones for our motorcycles kits.
Hopefully the new 2019 Ranger coming to US will have the same carrying capacity as the ROW currently has does. That would make a great base for exactly what Burow does.
Try googling enviromental brushes. They seem to be the best seal for the sliding surfaces. I had an Alaskan and they werent great sealing. In theory the brushes should work better.
I cant wait to see more of both your trucks! Very jealous. FYI the RUF Fuso was built on a FM 260 if I recall, I think its a bit different animal than a FE or FG.

Off a G-Wagen. Size is 1475mm x 2166mm or about 58" x 85". It has gutter mounts and the wind deflector. You can purchase new mounts to suit your vehicle Very close in size to the Jeep JKU (1425mm x 2368mm) Toyota LC 80 rack. In excellent shape, no dents or dings.
