We were in Cades Cove a few years ago enjoying the sunset and fire when a dad started up a Pixar movie on a laptop for his tween. With the bluetooth speakers, subwoofer included.
Scared the bejesus out of my dog. My wife only took 15 seconds to percolate to full boil and went over and unloaded...
We just adopted a 5.5 month old Harrier (mix) on Saturday and she came equipped with one of these. But she's had no leash training and was strangling herself without mercy. So she's still wearing the collar but I got one of these for her walks and she loves it...
Yeah, buddy.
years ago a friend/coworker tossed me the keys to his new Ferrari and said, "here, take'er for a spin."
Try as I might, I couldn't clutch without braking, gas without braking, etc.
Italians have small feet evidently.
I'm liking the look of the Green African Ranger boot ---- looks like a nice blend between comfort in the truck and comfort walking a bit.
BTW, I got these on sale from REI a while ago and they're doing okay. Very comfy, sneaker-like. Merrell Ontario Mid Waterproof...
$95 is a lotta cheez for a pair of slippers though.
My Crokoffs were $8 I think.
I have a pair of Uggs that I got for $45. Yeah, like Tom Brady; so what? They're friggin comfortable and warm. Not waterproof though.
The Escape 23, when it comes out, will have my attention. I'm 6'5" and will be needing a full-time trailer in a few years. The other Escapes are a little short/cramped.
Speaking of the correct last, this trail runner fits me perfectly in a size 14. Novel concept; shape the last like an actual foot.
Whoda thunkit?

That's why I like the Danner Tachyon so much. Wide toe box, light weight. Like a tough sneaker really.
When I teach a class, it's 10 hours on my feet. My old feet. Sore old feet.
I've got fairly large feet, fairly wide, but not high in volume (I'm lean). So it's really hard to find boots and shoes that fit well.
I'm a CERT member through our county's Marshall's office and use the Danner Tachyon as my duty boot in the warm weather...
I carry a Phillips Heart Start and a blow-out kit.
Drove an ambulance back in the 80's and maintain my first aid/CPR/AED certs.
I've used the blow-kit to save accident victims several times (commuting) but have never needed the AED. Hope I never do...
I use the felt lined Crocoffs from Walmart in the cold months and the unlined Crocoffs in the warmer months. I think my total investment was $18 and they've lasted over 10 years so far.
Please never ever put those words next to each other again. Please.
And bring Balvenie (and your tents) to Country Fried Weekend. You haven't been in a while.
Kos' grandsons are growing so fast. They were shooting bb guns this past January.
Not if you keep it around 400 degrees.
Then again, depends on what grade of aluminum. I'm assuming it's not the NASA stuff...
I'll have a couple of metallurgists in here Monday. I'll try to remember to ask their advise.
