Tired of all the "crap" RTT's. So I made my own. - TERRAPOD!

Love it. George Jetson's RTT mounted on Fred Flintstone's car.... Come by the lab and show it to me. I'll even let you buy me lunch across the street. ;)

Can I get some advice on what to look for? Camper for 2 people and a dog

Well, I'm planning to trade in my teardrop in a few weeks and I'm getting an Aliner. I'd prefer to sell it to somebody who'll use it and love it like we have. It's a big teardrop and has worked for us. I'm 6'5", wife is 5'5", and dog is 55#. Trailer is 6x10 with a 68x78 bed (nearly king...

Thoughts on this trailer power system.

A dude in the office next to mine built-out an old church bus as his new "home" at the start of COVID. He used Tesla batteries --- headed out from here for Canada. Haven't heard from him since...

Thoughts on this trailer power system.

Watch the video in my other post. I'm going to install a LiFePo4, chuck the stock WFCO, install a PD4045KA.

    Down Comforters

We use a couple of polypropylene fleece blankets and an old comforter. Temp regulation, fleece-on/fleece-off. Fleece works when wet too. Costco blankets rock.

Stealth Off The Grid (trailer name) trailer?

https://www.indeed.com/cmp/Stealth-Trailers/reviews?fcountry=US&floc=Bristol%2C+IN https://www.facebook.com/pg/Stealth-Trailers-384257984919921/reviews/ It looks like a good idea but I wonder how well it would be put together. Lots of solar and lots of LiFePo4 on a quality camper would be...

The topper, in basic trim, is only 170 pounds though. Svelt for a topper.

Mounted on top of an RSI topper as a cab-over, super duper camper. https://expeditionportal.com/rsi-smartcap-is-a-modular-stainless-steel-truck-topper/

    Arriving in April

Yeah but I've got to mitigate the gains with some funny IRA movements. First world problems.... You can find some videos on Youtube. It's not a tremendously obvious look. Sits higher, AT tires. The suspension upgrade is invisible. But I think it gets a sticker. So I got that going for me.

RTT off-road trailer vs. enclosed camper

We started with a Conqueror: And I loved the heck out of it. Went anywhere the Jeep could go. But, ultimately, the care and feeding of canvas convinced us to sell it and get a teardrop. If we were out west where there's less of the wet stuff, different story. But camping in the SouthEast...

    Arriving in April

https://aliner.com/campers/expedition/ -- Permanent Bed model, 2 hard dormers, Extreme Offroad package (lifted, better tires, higher gvwr) After 10 fun-filled years of teardropping, we're finally trading it in. Looking forward to being able to stand up while dressing. It was a long decision...

Newbie: Suggestions for well-built off-grid campers with a sitting/table area + temperature control? (under $25k)

Congrats, Travis. I still haven't heard back from Chalet Trailers, btw. No dealers on the easts coast. I think I might end up with an Aliner Expedition.

I've looked closely at the Cricket; it's built for the Wee People. The sleeping quarters would leave the OP wanting. Plus the coin they want is a bit much for what you get.
