Thanks for running that while you did. I missed out but no big deal. ARB fridges still gonna be shipping for free?
BTW, I will return your shocks ASAP. Label on the box and just waiting on a day off to run them by UPS.
I just painted mine with several coats of primer and matte black. Touch them up every year or so.
Just got them rebalanced so the weights are still silver.
Geez cr500taco, way to start a fight! Lol.
You will be happy with either one. I have both companies products. I do like talking to the guys at All Pro though. They are pretty helpful. If I was a super strict budget then I would look at TG, if not then probably All Pro.
Missed this post. Where are you located? Have a decent set of springs but no rear shocks. We can work something out as I don't have a lot of use for the step bars.
Almost done with the All Pro bed rack. Pretty straight forward other than a bunch of crappy welds.
Waiting on primer. Hope to have done this weekend and ready for the RTT.
Took the overload leaf out. Lessened the vibes and harsh ride. May add it back after the rack and tent.
Also All Pro...
Got the shock tabs welded on. Had to mount them higher than expected due to the shock length
The shock bushing were also too big to fit my bolts. Had to be creative. Used the old, rusted out lower shock mounts.
Drilled out to fit the bolt. Works for now.
Without a lot of extra weight the...
I found the interior "anti-fog" to be a major PITA! I applied it like it said but it kept hazing back over. Buff it out and the next mooning it was back! Went on and on. Took a couple of weeks to go away.
To continue the thread; one of my best cheap mods was to add a quick drain valve to the...
I really like the rocket stove designs. They are very efficient as they get hot on very little wood. Even though they burn fairly clean (they are pretty much smokeless after start up) I would still worry about CO inside an inclosed shelter. Weight would be another concern. The ones I have seen...
I think it is a lot of personnel preference. I have an ARB front bumper, All Pro rear bumper, and Trail Gear sliders.
I looked seriously at the Trail Gear front bumper and even tried to order one but the company I tried to buy it from fell through. Got the ARB later on.
I like the All Pro...
I ran into the same problem on a truck I bought with a lift several years ago. Didn't realize that they had cut the subframe until I had already bought a new lift. Found a wrecked tacoma at a salvage yard and cut out the piece needed. My dad welded it in for me. Was a pain in the *** but...
Posted that before but since you asked. One sheet of 3/4" plywood and a couple of 1x10's. designed around Tupperware bins I found at Walmart. Three bins fit perfectly in each of the two slots. Made it 3/4's width so I could pack taller gear to the drivers side. Worked pretty good and was easy...
I am 6'6" and have had 4 first gen Tacomas without any issue with headroom. Only issue I have had is with the latest truck. It is an automatic and the transfer case lever dug into the back of my calf/knee area and got annoying on long drives. I bent it forward and to the passenger side with some...
Not sure how old yours is but I had one go bad on the first trip I used it. It was several months old by then so Amazon would not take it back. I emailed the manufacturer and after a couple of days they requested a mailing address. I gave it to them and nothing else was said. A week later a new...
I am fairly new to scotch but I am hooked.
I use to drink a lot of Johnny Walker Black but have switched to single malts. Glenlivet and Glenfiddich 12 yrs. I just got a bottle of this from Total Wine based off of a recommendation of one of the guys working there.
Pretty good. Great price!
My...
In my infinite genius I managed to get the wire brush too close to the ABS sensor line. It yanked it out before I had a chance!
I thought no big deal until I looked them up and found out it was a $150-200 part!
So I need to find one of these looking plugs so I can re-wire it.
Anyone have...
So there was a lot more rust than I counted on! I figured I would clean up what I could get to now and then come back later and do the whole frame with the bed off.
First I had to get the old suspension stuff off. Needless to say more bolts got cut off then unbolted.
The u bolts and front leaf...
Figure it is time for and update.
Shortly after I got the truck it started shimming under heavy braking. So a brake job was in order. New pads, turned the rotors, and cleaned and painted everything.
Work has had be pretty busy so haven't had a chance to swap the lift over to the new truck...
Only problem with that idea is thick mud or clay. I ran a mt43 on my Husaberg for quite a while. Although it was great in a lot of situations in was absolutely horrible in Georgia clay or boggy mud. Sticky tire technology can go only go so far before you need some more wheel speed and more room...
