    Tire speed rating

There isn't any section of road in North America where you will approach that speed legally. They can't enforce a tire speed rating if you can't drive fast enough to exceed it.

    Next truck, 4 different options...

If you change out the radius arms, OUO should be the only consideration. Some will say PMF does the same thing, but while they tried to copy OUO (who did the R&D) they missed out on a few subtle details and do not perform the same. I won't have a heavy duty truck without OUO traction bars...

I run Fox shocks and dampers. Valving of the shocks is spot on for my system.

While I can't find fault with Carli's systems, you can't go wrong with Icon either. Couple with additional components from One up Offroad and you'll have a wicked truck.

    2017 F350 Rock Sliders?

Sliding a 4 ton truck over rocks will need some serious beef to them. I went the opposite way and don't have any extras hanging down to get in the way; AMP steps.

Crazy idea involving some big cab mods

There's quite a lot of frame flex on the Superduties, especially with 1999-2007 spring length. the longer newer length springs move a lot freer due to the axle being centered on them. Connecting the bed to the cab will either need a flexible joint between or use a 3 point bed mount like on...

    TexasSixSeven F-350 build

37's with a 2.5" lift might not be rub free when offroad. Wheel width and backspacing will be critical to get right. I went to 7" lift to 100% eliminate any and all tire to truck contact, but that might be more extreme than you want. 4.5" would be a better height. Traction bars/blocks from One...

    Trucks: Mid size, full size

I'm aware that someone in marketing lumped the 1/2ton pickups into the same category as 3/4ton and 1ton. Dodge and Chevy/GM 1500, 2500 & 3500, Ford F150, F250 & F350, Toyota Tundra, Nissan Titan all together, including their SUV counterparts. Mid size includes Toyota Tacoma, Nissan Frontier...

Southwest '17 F150 build. Going faster than your average rig.

The newer Rams with the 6.7L Cummins don't get nearly the same fuel economy of the older 5.9L. The manuals are considerably detuned now due to the fragile transmission. My boss had a 2003 5.9 w/ manual and now has a 2016 w/ manual. He doesn't like the new one, except the engine brake. Noticeably...

Tire Size: How wide is TOO wide?

Just turning the wheels will require forward or rearward movement unless hydraulic ram assist is used. If you are spending all the time on a beach, I would stay with a 12.5 to 13.5 tire.

40's? That's a whole lotta lift (12") needed, or moderate lift (7") and cut-outs if you don't want to worry about tires rubbing.
