    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

I can tell you with my Kimberley, you must set the Inverter charging to the desirable amperage.

    Install air bags or wait!

I just installed air bags on my 2023 Tremor 5.0. I used the Daystar cups, and bought the kit that goes in place of the factory bump stops. Worked very well.

    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

I know on my set up, its super critical to match the amperage of the circuit to the setting on the inverter/charger. If you plug into a 15amp plug, the inverter charger must be 15 amp or less. I was also told even though the setting can go to 60amp, don't ever go over 30amp.

    Install air bags or wait!

Ringing the neck on a small engine all of the time will yield horrible gas mileage. My Superduty with a FWC, and my jeep towed on a flat bed got 16MPG@ 70mph.

That is very true. Conversations like this are very important, much more than others. As someone else stated, overlanding, camping, exploring with a Subi and a tent, is awesome. Some of by best memories is in a tent with nothing. I still love my tent, camping out of my 2000 XJ.

Lucky, only cash, but I would finance a trailer if need be. . At 59 years old, I am going to enjoy my life. I would camp in a tent (We Do) to be outdoors, that is what makes me happy. If someone can afford the payment, what is the difference? I financed my first motor-home at 21, paid it off...

    Mission Overland Approach

I am not saying that they are not fine, not at all. I guess my point is there are a lot of new options that are out there. Arm arm air ride works well, and is a nice option even if you don't beat the heck out of your trailer. I would never do what ROA does for the shock factor, but I would...

You also cant put a value on enjoying life. I could spend 40k a year traveling around staying in hotels, or spend 140k on a trailer and travel enjoying our awesome country the way I want.

Good one! You will see the new Transit Trail outfiited for over $220k. I guess my point is, you can spend 220k on a van, or 220k on a trailer and new truck.

    Mission Overland Approach

I am sure your right about the price point, but I will be curius about the options that most will want. I do think that the Timbrens are a huge mistake. They do not give enough travel, and the durability if used offroad, is very questionable. Yes they are cheap.

I think the Victron 3k system complete, just for parts is like $4200.00

    Mission Overland Approach

I will bet by the time its available, it will be 90k equip correctly. Its a bummer that they are going with Timbren axel-less suspension. Its needs to have air ride with quality shocks. I think they also need to up the fresh water to 60gal or so to really give it long term off grid ability. The...

The reality is all of the high end offroad trailers are 145k plus. A really nice Sprinter is well over 200k.

External Speaker to Use with a Yaesu-FTM400

I used the Kenwood Ham radio speaker, mounted it right in the center of the headliner. I could have the volume very low and was able to hear extremely clear.

    F150 - 2.7L vs 3.5L vs 5.0L

I am sure it exists, but I don't know of any vehicles that uses anything but the starter to restart at a stop. I cant imagine relying on fuel alone to start a engine. the liability alone would be crazy.

I bought a KImberley, and its in Ohio. It not bad to have it shipped, $1.50 per mile. There is no way I am driving from Ca to Ohio.

You can install a disabler that goes inline with the switch for $50.00. Super easy

    Cerro Gordo Update 12-29-22

Well, I think if the hotel would not have burned down, it might be a little different. I like how it was also, but at the same time, its only sustainable if people can come enjoy it. The origanal hotel was amazing, and it was the only one of its kind. Its a lesson for all of us to go see what is...

    Cerro Gordo Update 12-29-22

I wonder about the road comment. First off, the county fixed the road twice after it completely was washed out,(1000 year flood) and how else could they transport 100 tons of matrials without a decent road? Brett knows a ton of history that Robert never knew, and Robert knew things that Brett...
