If you need, or would prefer a pickup, go ahead and sell the Cruiser. Might as well reach for the sky on your asking price as some fool is likely to cough it up. I wouldn't buy any model of Ram/Dodge, especially a fairly new and expensive one, but if that's what you want then go for it.

Times 3. If the cooling system, starter, alternator, steering rack are original, MAYBE replace them just for peace of mind. Those trucks rarely break down.
Looks like fall season hasn't quite kicked in yet. Have you had any occasion to use the extra fuel cans stored off the back, or are they just for potential emergencies?

One and the same, from my point of view. You don't want it to break down. Obviously Toyota gets the nod in this category. That said, not sure I would make the trade. Besides, both of those trucks are way too big, IMO.

There is a thread for these trucks that may be interesting for you to look at. Check out post #112 on page 12 for a before and after shot of an OME lifted truck. OME may be closer to 3". Don't know what the tire size is, but it may be bigger than 31". Consider that with the lift you may need...
Perhaps you could find a used, low mileage unit that could be transplanted in and save a lot of money. I'm afraid he's probably correct: The tranny is on its way out.
Because of it's well deserved reputation for possessing rock solid dependability and capability. Unfortunately it's morphed into luxury vehicle for the wealthy only here in the U.S., where it doesn't seem to have quite the snob appeal of a Land Rover. Over seas big shots know better. :)
