I've had very few problems with my '08 LR3. I bought it used with ~30K miles, and I'm now rolling at ~125K, with never any major problems. Probably the biggest thing was replacing the air compressor under warranty. One corner is beginning to sag again, so I'll probably end up doing a spring...

I'll throw in a plug for the Turbo Tent. I had one and sold it, and ended up getting another. I added an AC boot to mine since I live in Arkansas, and our near year-round humidity makes tent camping sometimes miserable.

My '08 with 126,xxx miles still drives like a dream. It's easily the best vehicle I've ever owned. Yes, preventive maintenance will go a long way. Keep an eye on the suspension, the brakes, keep the fuel injectors clean, and you'll easily have an amazing vehicle that will go at least another...
