    Air Hose Reel?

Try this: https://bucketboss.com/collections/bags/products/cable-bag-1 and then coil hose over under like a Hollywood Gaffer: I use both and it works really well. No non-permanently coiled hose will never have a tangle, but this technique really makes it much better. The hose shakes right...

Ram 1500 build ... should I even bother?

Yeah, come to think my GVWR is 7100 and the axle rating is just a bit over 8000.

Name/Label for truck TOPPER vs Slide-in

No, I said that wrong. Should have said sub-forum, meaning under Exp Campers but split the Pop-up sub-forum into Slide-in and Flat Bed Pop-ups and a separate Truck Bed Topper Pop-Up campers or whatever the brain trust comes up with as the right term. Otherwise we get the Ovrlnd Owners Only...

Ram 1500 build ... should I even bother?

Well, it depends . . . on a lot of things. Known weak points of the truck, where and how you drive it, how much you drive it overloaded vs not, where the overload is (eg, is it your HD springs, suspension, airbags, tires, wheels or other things to make it better able to handle off-road...

You’ve ticked off a nice build out. I wouldn’t have minded getting the roof insulation done as it’s the biggest PITA IMO. I did not get the front slider window, but did get a solid one, which I do regret. Can’t see out and it’s now insulated over. For me it would be a useable slider or the...

    ****SOLD**** 2010 Sportsmobile W / Field Van Ford E350 EB 4x4 price reduced $117, 000 Bend, Oregon.

Can you post a picture of the interior with the roof lifted and the bed deployed (or is there not a bed up there?) and the dimensions of the bed?

What AGM battery to repacement of old Odyssey Battery pair in my '05 Ford 6.0 L ?

I’ve had 3 Northstars (in 3 vehicles) and they’ve been great. They are owned and made by the same company as Odyssey and every bit as good, IMO. They also made the old Sears Diehard Platinums, so possibly you already had one! The nice thing is they come in “normal” battery sizes, so easier to...

I have the 2” height, but it’s the old style so the struts are inside. Jay could probably help answer the question. Sorry! On the awning, see this mini-review; it’s both good and bad, depending on how much heat/sun you encounter:

Congrats! I like the 70/30 barn door idea. Post up some pics of those open and closed if you don’t mind when you get it. If you don’t need the bed length for sleeping cutting it down is a great idea too. I’m sure you’ll like the extra room.

    Heat Recovery Ventilators

This ↑↑ !! I also live in the photography world, which is what led to off-road and overlanding a long time ago. There’s a serious disease rampant there called GAS (Gear Aqcuisition Syndrome), which I contracted years ago — don’t ask me how many heavy, expensive lenses I have, that I rarely...

Looking for rigs w. 33", 34" or lager tires with swingouts.

I just mean to anchor the B&T to lift the tire to your swing out mount, not put it on the roof rack.

If you have roof rack or somewhere higher than your swing out you could use a small sailing block and tackle.

That’s a bit hard to answer since I haven’t used it a whole lot. Best I can do is a guess. I’ve run this maybe 15 times since install. I think 3 of those have been overnight with the temp set at 42º on the night (eco) setting in outside temps into the mid 30s, but not terribly cold. The rest...

    Ski Shack "The Baker Box"

I used 4mm Coroplast extensively in my camper build-out. All my walls are covered with it. I also made lightweight drawers out of it. VHB sticks well (sometimes too well if you prep it well and need to remove it). It’s sturdy enough that I have stuck velcro to it for BROG bags that are...

Best privacy tent/shower/toilet enclosure? Best compact "toilet" for WAG bags?

We’ve liked this one for 6 years. Sturdy, comfortable, and folds up very slim and compact Edit: for some reason the link wont post correctly. It’s listed on Amazon as: GREEN ELEPHANT Portable Toilet for Camping

I like that a lot better than all the self contained ones. It’s half the price of the NL DCDC25 box I have, and love the 175 amp output and the general design and set up. I guess the only question would be the quality of the DCDC charger and Solar controller, but looks very well made and...

Yeah, should be. The whole slide out portion is free to move, but would take some real finagling to get out.

Talk to Jay or Maggie. If they haven't changed the composite design, seems like it would be simple for them to cut it shorter. What I don’t know is if they get it cut to size or not from their vendor. The way my 3 year old one is structured there's an aluminum channel cap on the pull out...
