Enduro Campers - New Composite Wedge Camper

So, did you eventually get one on a 2nd gen Tundra? Curious, as their website only lists the camper as for 22+ Tundras at this point.

The 2024 Tacoma Hybrid … would you buy one “

I loved my ’09 Tacoma, but as I’ve said before, didn’t fit well in it. But beyond that, I recently got to camp near a guy with ’22 Hybrid Tundra and my same camper, so we compared a lot of notes. He didn’t use the H word, but pretty clearly hated the hybrid system and was sorry he bought it...

Make Your Own "Dometic Go-type" Water Can From a Scepter

Been using a gravity system with a Scepter can which we’ve really liked: Recently added a Dometic Go jug and Faucet with some extended tubing under our cabinet and have liked it enough to want to go with that system over the gravity and expand the capacity, so we added a permanent water line...

For Sale: 4x4 Expedition Truck Camper 2019 Nissan Frontier Pro4x

Great build! Just curious — how do you like the side door on the driver side rear in conjunction with the rear hatch? Seems like a really handy approach to quick in and outs, but wondering if there’s been any drawbacks in use over time?

OVRLND CAMPERS ONLY : Post your OVRLND Camper build here or a link to your build thread to inspire others!

My observations from being on this forum since 2010 and close to 3 years with the Ovrlnd/Tundra combo, coming from a Tacoma and tent camping: There’s clearly a continuum of truck campers in size, weight, cost and comfort. Anchored on one end by, say the Go Fast on small/midsize truck and...

Best insulation for aluminum sides, and tent, for popup camper shells like GoFast, Topo, OVRLND, etc?

This is what I used. It’s worked well. I like that it’s also good for keeping heat out in the AZ sun.

Best Fridge Slide for ARB 50 qt ?

DFG. Sturdy, lightweight, well made, well priced. Had mine for 2.5 years with my ARB 50 and it just works. https://www.dfgoffroad.com/37-for-arb

Yes, it’s a Vario. No, Truma will only sell through dealers who install as far as I could find out. Apparently they’re wary of US litigiousness. All of which makes it hard. A lot of RV dealers handle Truma, though. I do like it a lot. Very quiet on night mode, pretty simple interface...

FWIW, if you look at page 1, post 2 of this thread you can find links to Crollison’s (aka Yeti Overland) Ovrlnd build threads for both his Tacoma and then Tundra. In both cases he had a side mounted propane tank directly plumbed through the wall to a Propex. Evidently, it worked OK on his...

Keeping equipment alive in the garage

This is an AWESOME customizable charger. For your purpose, it also functions as a 12v power supply. Will charge Gel, LiFePo, AGM and FLA batteries s well. https://www.solar-electric.com/victron-energy-blue-smart-ip65-12-15-120vac-battery-charger.html

OVRLND Camper - Tacoma 3rd Gen. Santa Fe

Umm … You might want to delete the AT in your first sentence sentence. AT Overland (with all the vowels) Prescott Arizona is a completely different company from Ovrlnd Campers in Flagstaff which you have and which is a pretty different camper.

Recommended adhesive for insulation to aluminum sheet.

You could also try a test with some 3M LSE (Low Surface Energy) VHB. i’ve had great luck using it to stick all sorts of weird things to aluminium. Including UHMW, which, almost nothing sticks to. It would certainly be less messy.

I don’t have any pictures of it put up, but here’s an earlier post about it: Here’s a picture of the channel on the camper. Don’t make the same mistake I did and use two pieces of awning track. You can get 9’ sections from Sailrite.com . I had to seal the gap and it took several tries...

    23zero 180° PEREGRINE AWNING question

I’ve had one of these for the past 2.5 years and have used it a lot. It’s got both pros and cons. Yes that’s true. It’s easy to set up quickly and put up quickly and doesn’t requite legs (which are also real easy to unclip and drop down and extend). IMO it handles mild to slightly brisk...

    My OVRLND build

I found the receipt in my email blackhole, amazingly! Keep in mind, I have the extra 2” in the cabover. I think I recall ordering one more shorter (maybe 12’ ?) roll of 2’ wide later to complete things, but had some left over. It was really useful to get the various widths as cutting long...

    Help for an electrical know-nothing!

Agreed. However, running a cable from one of the outlet grommets in your truck bed along the frame rails and up to a fuse on your battery is dead simple. Just buy some loom on Amazon to protect the cable and cable tie it as you go. On my truck, I could follow Toyota’s major cables pretty...

    Help for an electrical know-nothing!

Honestly I think you are overcomplicating things here and about to drop $2000 on a mismatched system you may not love long term (unit + the custom wiring by a shop). The “solar generators”, even the more powerful ones like the Bluetti are really designed for weekend use, and (cynically) to sell...

I have the total chaos version. From my Tacoma days i knew that heavy weights on the bed sides could spread the besides at the tailgate with heavy offroad use. I have heard of Tundras potentially having the same issue, but not sure how prevalent it is. Problem is once you know you need it...
