The Feisol are very well priced-almost too well but it does have 3 year warranty.
What is the word on three section tripods making onto a plane? I admit it would be a rare occasion to fly with one but it would be nice to be able to keep it in my duffle or on a pack it I did.
RRS has a nice...
That Manifroto would be just fine in height and the weight is low plus the price is less than Gitzo. I am looking at a Kirk or RRS ball head to put in top.
In building my photo kit I am in need of a good tripod. The last one I used was a solid/heavy Bogen that was owned by the event photo company I worked for so I haven't put much thought in to them.
I see that carbon fiber has become the material of choice which I can understand for it's low...
A company in So Cal did these custom after a decent reponse from one they showed at a SEMA show.
I don't think it worked out as well as the FJC fans that loved the idea, I can see that the rear corner blind spots are even worse with the top up.
As you're in NM the rust will spread much slower than in a rust prone area so if the frame tap test isn't terrible you can repair it and the parts are available. That brush guard is better on a Denfender so you migth be able to sell it to a Defender owner to help cover some of the repair costs...
There's one right along the SC/NC border Pat called Caeser's Head. It's also near a lot of waterfalls so a good area to shoot.
Not my pic but here's a side view.
I just got my wife a Nikon S4000 P&S for about $150 that I like. It has a host of features (how do they cram so much in something so small???) and it's pocket size small. The only issue I've noticed is that the small rechargable battery doesn't last a super long time so I'd suggest getting and...
Definately a palm tree-cool shot, Pat.
I like where you're going Trevor, the shot on the right-top row looks like a flower or sea anemonie.
I left the Nikon home as I don't have a tri-pod right now and I knew I wouldn't be able to get a good image. I'm headed to Disney later this month so I'll...
My guess is that the auto focus assist beam is the red
bleed in the corner. That beam is usually to the right of the lens so the red glow would show up in that corner.
Placing along the roof of the inside of your rig works great, just place a strap between assist handles and cinch it up tight. The surf fishermen around here have racks that hold rigged rods and coolers that install off a front bumber or a rear hitch, there are also rod holders/rack that are...
I heard about Victoria Beckham designing for Range Rover on NPR yesterday!? The end is near....LOL
I guess the Evoque is just the next step from the RR Sport which was also positioned to appeal to urbanites. As long as they continue to make the Defender and keep the "regular" Range Rover and...
Tough choice Pat, both work on different levels and are really two different images. The color image has a sad but hopeful message to me where the B/W image is much more ominous to me.
Nice kit in the back! Was that a former ambulance converted to camper?
I also spotted some nice Canon lenses on the console box-looks like a photographers rig.
Cool shot Mike! I saw the F6 but it doesn't have a built in vert grip, you can get a vert grip-batt pack but you can do that with a F100 as well and pay less.
I was looking at the F5 listing you posted and saw that big, clear view finder, I've almost forgot how nice those are.
As a hold out fan of film I've noticed that the prices of used F5's are very attractive. Add to this that I used to lust after this camera in the Nikon catalog but I knew there was no way I could afford it new.
So..how is it and if you can compare it with the F100 that would be great as that...
