Well. I'm East Coast but sadly still 5-6 hours away from you.
I can recommend White Top Laural Creek down near Abingdon, great stream. That is probably a little far for you to fish on a Saturday.
Beautiful contry up there, whish I was closer.
Anyone fish WNC area?
I don't know how I missed this area so long. I used to fish upstate SC,WNC and sometimes SW VA when I lived in upstate SC. Since moving east I don't get over there very often-none this year.
How's the fishing in WNC? I am thinking of taking some time and hitting Curtis...
Sounds like you need an editor Pat. A fresh pair of eye's to help you pare down the choices. I can imagine finding the right image is very tough with the amount of choices you have, I'd always be worried that I forgot an image.
So when's the book coming out???
I shoot for the dark side but I'd bet the advise would apply.
I might just take you up on that offer later this summer/early fall, I've checked out your hotel site and that area looks pretty darn relaxing, some good fishing, some good drinking.....pretty much what I need.
Here's to hoping the...
This from when I picked up the Land Rover- used the timer and a tree stump.
Sorry I guess I posted that pic before, how do I get it to show up here?
hey! it worked-thanks Cory.
Right on the heels of the "inspiration" thread Trevor started, this is perfect as guys like me can check out your sites to see how things are supposed to look!
Not Kittens-Puppies!:victory:
I have been challenged to improve my skills lately and to keep learning so I can take the images that I have in my head and that I see and capture them on film (or a memory card these days but that just doesn't sound right).

That one is well priced, I think the 12 ft would be fine as...
You have to love it when the camera is worth more than the boat.
Great shots! One thing that might help the boat issues is to have someone on the stern with a push pole to glide over the flats quietly.
One person whose work grabbed me and still inspires me is Galen Rowell.
I have to say the many of you inspire me as well, I've seen some incredible work on this site. Those hay bales are impressive Joash.
Cool shot David!
Trevor, can you tell me which gitzo you have? They offer a lot of choices and I also like the light weight yet stable idea as that is the planned use.
Do you notice any play with the QR plate Joash? When I was doing group photo's with a med format I used a pistol grip head similar to the but the grip was vertical which made it top heavy so like how they made the handle more horizontal and I can see how that would offer a good panning motion.
Praise God-another newly baptized soul!!!
You would think the guy manning the video camera would have warned him, perhaps he was thinking of the 10K prize from America's Funniest Video's??
