    Quickie Rover River Trip

He said they were 35's but I didn't look at the tire very close. He has a 2" suspension lift and 1" body lift and has done a little trimming to the sheetmetal. Flexed out well and saw no rubbing. Cool truck

    1988 Jeep Cherokee XJ $500

I recently moved and am losing the spot where I have it stored. Must sell quickly. 1988 4wd Jeep Cherokee. Silver rust free body good glass. 2" Rough Country lift. 4.0l five speed. AC works. Runs great. New battery. Now the downer. The ring and pinion are shelled out in the rear axle. It...

    Canadian Disco 2 Build

I once made a similar coiled wire by wrapping the wire tightly around a piece of 1/2 inch aluminum conduit and attaching the ends to the conduit with sheet metal screws. I "flame brushed" the coil of wire with a propane torch until the insulation was softened and let it cool. I did this 3...

Estes Park, CO area August 2010

Hey Darin. I didn't realize you went to Rollins during the same time I met you in Estes. Great pictures. That's pretty amazing you got to hold that hummingbird. Did you come at the pass from the trailhead at Rollins? We came at it from the Winter Park side. From the end of the trail we were on...

    Mantec Snorkel Top?

This was the only thing I could find. http://www.rovahfarm.com/seriesbodypage1.htm I bet you could find something similar at a tractor supply. This looks the same as the air intake on my series 2000 Ford diesel tractor. It's a late '70s model. Good luck my friend.

I hope my truck grows up to be as cool and capable as his LOL. Bo owns Cafe Bella in south Okla.City. If you see one of his Discos parked in front be sure to stop in and say hey.

    Quickie Rover River Trip

My HROW(hot off roading wife) and i got together yesterday with my friend Bo Pham and his kids for a quick trip to the Canadian river near Norman, Ok. We just stayed out for a couple of hours. Nothing too radical, but lots of water crossings and sand hills to play on. Next time I'll be more...

    New Disco Shakedown

The main thing I wanted to test was the traction control. It really worked great. As soon as a wheel would start to break loose, the TC would kick in and stop it. The hill descent assist kind of gave me the willys though. I don't think I'll be using it much. Maybe I'll get used to it. Do...

    New Disco Shakedown

All in all a great trip. It's a shame it's gated though. You can see the trail would be drivable as this bypasses the old collapsed RR tunnel. We highly recommend it.

    New Disco Shakedown

When you get to the point where the continental divide hiking trail crosses the road, stay to the right. The trail continues over the mountain, and looks like it would continue over the divide. However, it ends at a parking area and the trail is gated off. The view is amazing though. You can...

    New Disco Shakedown

After a few more miles you get above the treeline and onto the divide.

    New Disco Shakedown

You will have to back track to the main trail to get to the bypass around the trestle.

    New Disco Shakedown

We followed the trail until we found this signpost. Turn to the north here and it follows the old Moffat railbed around the mountain to the trestle

    New Disco Shakedown

Last month I bought a new (to us) 2004 Discovery. It's a bone stock mall crawler for now, but I really wanted to see what it could do. I have to say I was pretty impressed. Ive had a lot of different 4wd's over the years, but this is the most highway friendly and off road capable combination...

Is that an APC is see parked behind your Disco? If so what kind? I myself like the eclectic mix of machine guns and Land Rovers!

    1988 toyota pickup- HELP!

Tried fire and ice on the bolt. Still no go. A friend of mine has a 3/4" impact he said I could use. He guarantees it will come out or it will snap it off. I hate to risk that. I'd really be up the creek then. I'm still open to any ideas. I have it still sittinf with about 400 lb feet of...

    1988 toyota pickup- HELP!

I now have it tied off with approximately 400 lb feet of torque sitting on it and have been tapping on it with a hammer after soaking it with PB Blaster. Still hasn't budged.
