COMEUP WINCH to the South Pole again ---- this time on a Tractor!!!

Here's a real adventure story! Not your typical expedition vehicle. . "Manon Ossevoort has set an extreme World record: she’s the first woman to travel from the village where she was born (Netherlands, EU) all the way to the South Pole… by tractor. Over 38.000 kilometers she’s covered from...

    **Tepui RTTs and Accessories**

The standard and Ruggedized models are all 4- season tents and do well in cold weather. The Baja series is meant more for warm weather camping and isn't the best option for cold weather camping, unless a weatherhood is also used. The weatherhoods are not new and have been around for a couple...

    **Tepui RTTs and Accessories**

The Baja series uses a Mesh Canopy or a lightweight nylon canopy. The Standard Ayer uses the ripstop poly cotton material used on Tepui's other (non-Baja series) tents. This is the ripstop poly cotton used on standard and Ruggedized models . Baja Series Ultralite Mesh canopy . Baja Series...

Two will work, if the material is strong enough. Three will spread the load better.

On my adjustable rack I use 1.5" sq tube for the uprights and 1x2" for the "platform". All 1/8" wall. . After I retired the adjustable rack I built some simple "load bar" style that are attached to the lid of my trailer. This is all 1.5" sq tube 1/8" wall .

Is this rack overkill for a roof top tent? (Tepui Autana)

That rack is not overkill for a Tepui Autana. It's a very appropriate rack for that tent and I wouldn't use anything lighter duty than that.

***COMEUP Winch - New 5year Warranty***

I wouldn't think so since there instructions for clocking the winch included. At least there were with mine. Best idea if you're not sure on a particular change you might have made would probably be to call and ask.

The control arms didn't change ride quality in any noticeable way. Still working on getting out to test the difference (if any) in suspension travel with the arms. But ride quality overall is excellent with the Slinky kit.

New set of rear upper and lower control arms are done and installed from Trail Tailor. Should provide a bit more range of motion for the rear axle. Looking forward to a more thorough test soon. .

Thanks. I don't think they are much softer than the MTR's they replaced. MT also has a bias ply version (typically larger sizes) that have a softer compound. Maybe those are the ones you're thinking of.

Main reason is long term durability. The nylon is a great material for a lot of reasons, no doubt.

Yes they are still water resistant. The nylon canopy of the UltraLight version is similar to what you're used to seeing on lots of other ground/backpacking tents, although its a bit heavier weight. Close to the rainfly material that is on the standard and Ruggedized tents.

New tires got put on this morning. . . . . . I've driven about 40 miles on them so far most of which was highway. I'm comparing them to the worn MTR's that came off, but they are surprisingly smooth. I expected a noisy tire with some vibration from the aggressive tread. They are actually...

\ Since they are different materials (ripstop nylon vs ripstop poly/cotton) it isn't going to be an exact match but should be pretty close from what I'm told. I have not seen the grey in person yet to give you a concrete answer.
